  1. Yep, I’ve had those nights before. They are awful.
  2. Thank you very much. It is intended for a game called Bolt Action. I have built several models from this line. I have never played it, but the models and miniatures are top notch.
  3. I run all rigging thread through a block of beeswax, that I got at the hardware store. It works wonders for preventing fraying.
  4. Copper tape works well too. I’ve used it for two models now.
  5. I did. I found them on clearance, lol. Seriously, though, thank you very much!
  6. Thank you! I want to build a Char B1 Bis eventually. Those were monsters. A lot of the early war allied tanks were behemoths, though. They were just too slow. But, they look neat.
  7. I made my trunnions. I made the pivot points that the carronades mount into. I now have to make a decision about my cannons. The eyebolts at scale would be too small to thread a breech rope through unless I use thread like I did on the gunport lids. If I don’t want to use eyebolts then I can make dummy eyebolts and wrap the breech rope around the cascabel, French style (yes this is a British ship, hence the debate).
  8. This is a Warlord Games R-35 Tank in 28mm scale. I haven’t wargamed in nearly 20 years, but the 28mm ranges are great sources of obscure subjects (and fun projects). The R-35 was an early war two-man tankette belonging to the French. The German Army liked them well enough to capture them and press them into service. This is a resin kit with metal detail parts. I assembled it a while back and primed it black. I wanted a quick project for today, because it is nice to occasionally make something that you can finish in a few hours (I can’t build multiple ships at the same time). I tried to make it look nice and muddy. I still have some detail painting to do. I’ve had fun painting it today.
  9. I sew my bolt ropes on as well.
  10. Welcome!
  11. Good to see you back at it! The Pearl is looking awesome!
