  1. I’m glad you guys liked them. I made three today over the course of an hour and a half. Once I sand them all, they should turn out like the last set (I think those turned out well). Although, at 1:98, they are much smaller than last time.
  2. I’m starting on the cannons. I had a blast making them on the Prince de Neufchatel, so I’m making the rest of them for Victory (plus I liked mine better).
  3. I installed the ladders. They are made of poster board. They aren’t perfect, but they are the first generation of ladders that I have scratch built.
  4. Thank you, everyone, for all the likes and the comments! I painted the starboard side. I’m happy with it. Time to fit out and arm the upper gun deck and spar deck.
  5. The Victory now looks like she belongs to Nelson’s fleet. The port side is painted.
  6. It’s a useful tool. I found out about them on this forum (I don’t remember who had it). It’s perfect for anything that has to be fitted to the hull. I also intend to use it to make the cradles for the ship’s boats.
  7. Just take it slow. Attaching the rudder with the pintles and gudgeons is difficult for me too.
  8. I haven’t forgotten about Winchelsea. I am making good progress on Victory. I am trying to finish her by the summer. I still have a couple models to build before I can start Winchelsea, but I very much look forward to building her.
  9. I’m still making steady progress on Victory. I haven’t forgotten about the Triton.
  10. I made and installed both of the anchor palm blocks. They were carved from 1/4” basswood sheets. At this point, the majority of the hull fittings are done. I need to clean them up a bit, and then I’ll touch up the paint down the sides. I still have some boat davits to make, but I will make those when I make the railings, the hammock netting and the boomkins, netting and anchors up by the head. The head is mostly done (except for what I just mentioned). The stern is mostly done (except for the boat davits). Next up will be the upper gun deck.
  11. Thank you all for the likes and the comments! I made my port-side chesstree and installed it. I also installed the second fender on the port-side.
  12. Okay, my apologies. I didn’t catch the part about the stern and quarter galleries being prepainted. I had to paint mine and I thought yours were the same.
  13. Welcome!
