  1. The bow chasers are done: I got the rigging plan for them from a plan of an American Privateer from the War of 1812, that I found in a Model Shipbuilder magazine from the 1980’s. Hopefully, it is accurate. It looks functional to me.
  2. Good morning everyone! I hope the day finds all of you well. Mark and Edward, thank you very much for the comments! I am making good progress and having a lot of fun. Thank you very much to everyone who has stopped by and everyone who has hit the “like” button! The port side quarterdeck guns are rigged: To anyone who would follow in my footsteps and use Tichy HO scale eyebolts, please remember that they are plastic, and when used with a double pulley system, are prone to breaking. There may, or may not, be many blocks that are glued directly to whatever they secure to, now. Take great care while tensioning the rigging. Having said that, the Tichy eyebolts still look great and work beautifully. Stay healthy and take care.
  3. The first quarterdeck gun is rigged. Note to self-person: always make sure other rigging is on the correct side of the rigging you are working with BEFORE securing the rigging with glue.
  4. Thank you all for the comments and the likes! I finished the upper gundeck rigging and am moving on to the quarterdeck guns rigging. Technically speaking, I don’t need to rig the spar deck and quarterdeck guns yet, but...why not?
  5. Welcome!
  6. Welcome back and congratulations on kicking cancer’s butt!
  7. Thank you everyone for all the likes and the comments! All guns that require breech ropes, have them: The first set of guns have their tackle (inhaul anyways, the outhaul wouldn’t fit).
  8. Finishing up preparations to install the cannons (adding eyebolts for the breech ropes).
  9. Thanks, Mark! Here’s 40 eyebolts: I only needed 36, but I made a few extra, because every one of us knows what happens when you only have just enough small parts, lol.
  10. The rigging blocks for the forward guns are installed: At this point, all she needs are the eyebolts for the breech ropes, except for the bow chasers, which don’t have breech ropes. Next up, 36 eyebolts!
