    Have you thought about just making the fittings? I know it sounds like a lot work, but for me, fitting out the model (including making the fittings) is one of my favorite parts of the hobby. I made the discovery a few years ago that there is very little difference between scratch building and kit building in this hobby when I built my Prince de Neufchatel. Making everything is a lot of fun and nowhere near as difficult as it may seem at first glance!

    Yes, it looks like the boom is attached to the bracket. It also looks like a davit to me with that boat next to the yacht.
