Work on the RC will now be temporarily stopped. I started to build a new model - see my new log scratch build of Pandora. The work on the rigging will continue in the autumn and winter because these works I can make indoors.

thank you for your compliment .

I continue with the production of external keel. It is made of individual parts which are glued together.

The bulkheads and the inner the keel is made of plywood, the outer part of the keel will be made ​​of pear wood. Thanks to the large number of bulkheads (26 pcs) and small gaps between will be done only one planking.

I decided to start work on another model (work on Royal Caroline have reached the stage where it can be easily done at home in the autumn and winter months). The choice fell on Pandora.
It is my first real scratch build (POB) according to plans from the book Anatomy of the Ship.

The first phase of construction was making a plan of the bulkheads and the keel using TurboCad.

After longer break. a few more images - I finished the production of the yards.

Top masts and topgallant masts are completed.

Bowsprit, jib boom, jackstaff and enisgn staff.

Excellent Marsalv!! Did you arrive at the different sizes from the AOS book?I haven't got to that stage yet,having only 'glanced' at the rigging,mainly to see how everything is belayed,

Thank you very much nmbrook. I used informations from book James Lees - The masting and rigging of English ships of war. In download section you can find the table which is very helpful.

Back to my model. I finally finished lower parts of masts.

So I went into the making ropes and after about a week of intensive work (exactly 27 hours of actual time) I have done. There will be a total of 9 different rope  thicknesses in the model (7 are ropes + 2 basic yarns from which the ropes are made). I made about 220 ropes of different thicknesses.

The main masts are almost completed, now is the right time for completion of tops - the blocks under tops.

Your work is first rate, but I would like to see how you achieved such precise results with the tools you have. That way we can learn as well as admire

I started to prepare the mast. The most difficult task for me was to make cheeks and front fish.

Wow . I can not find words. You are really sculpey master. I admire your patience and skill.

I have found your RC in the gallery and it really looks nice. The Humbrol color scheme is also looking fine. Nevertheless I am going to keep this color, hopefully it won't be so bad in the end.

In case you will build this kit again definitely look also at the build log of Marsalv who is doing really great job on RC - many things I am not able to tackle with such a high level of precision as he does...

Hi Jeff, I am very glad that you like my work. Today I´m posting last pictures from the production of hull - lanterns. This concludes the first phase of construction.

After a short break I will continue with production of masts, sails and rigging.

Thanks for compliment Janos, I watch your log too. I am looking forward to your next photos from the production of lanterns.

The last detail of the hull remain lanterns. Now I am posting first part of pictures - body production.

Your work with Sculpey is wonderful - I envy.

Buoy is completed and attached to the anchor. The production was a little more complicated, but resultat is OK. Now only lanterns left to build and hull will be completely finished .

I finished the blocks for cathead and four anchors. Now I´m preparing a buoy for one of the anchors - pictures come next.
