Also use the same glue as druxey said PVA/ White glue for the rigging, but diluted. About 50:50. If you use CA glue / superglue on the rigging it can become brittle and give it less of a life expectancy.

Wow. Yes I'd say take off all of the rigging off and start from the beginning. Best to have it all the same age. Saves repairing the already old stuff down the line.

For me to get the dust off, Use a soft bristled brush and sweep away the bulk of the dust, Then blow the remaining dust away with either a empty sauce bottle of that air in a spray can if you want.

It's up to you if you would wish to have the ship shinny with varnish. Me personally would use a Matt Satan wipe on Poly. Matt because I don't like the gleaming shinny finishes. Hope this helps. Take your time.

Congratulations on completion of the first layer. Looks great. Now for the second. On the first layer I nail through the planks. But the second is held in place by drawing pins inserted next to the plank and the plastic bit holding the plank down. Good luck with the sanding.

Looks great. Clean and tidy build. The hull must be mass produced and used for all of the battleships of that class. Looking good.

Have a look at the Kaiser Wilheim by Nils in the Scratch built section. He planks the stern with the strips in a vertical position to get the desired curve. Worth a shot.

I guess I would like to see something developed in the hobby like pre -cut and pre made sails. The best model with the most accurate detail is spoiled because of sails made with oversize stitching and folds.

I don't have any sails on any of my builds because I just can't get them to look right. The Flags are pre made. Why can't the sails instead of giving us a fooled up sheet to make our own? Just my two cents. I hope this s a valid post.

Also maby do away with kits such as the Blue shadow and Portsmouth Brigs? They are the same ship just different names. Just my opinion.

I like the rigging. Makes the ship look more complete. I too find myself sitting back and admiring the new line I had just installed.

Looks like a worthwhile investment to the ship yard. Shall I SLIP into something more comfortable shall I say! Haha.

Just as Mark suggested. I cut the head off a small brass nail and drill a hole into the mast halfway the Dia and the same on the yard. CA glue the nail in the holes and attach the yard to the mast.

I would imagine that being quite hard steel? Looks good.

Hey it's looking great. Very neat. Good work. That transom counter wood is real hard wood. Well I know in the Mamoli kits it is. Hope Corel is a bit easier to shape.

The old tracing paper (Lunch wrap) has a million uses! I've used it several times now. That's a neat job you have made of the Anchor linings.
