Hello Zyxuz, Good luck! I hate to see you having to remove the bowsprit and place it over again. Anja

Hello Tom, Welcome back! It's good to see you back at work in the shipyard. I'm glad you're feeling better. You're doing great with this cross-section. Nice touch putting in the lights. Looking forward to your progress, Anja PS - 'The Darkside' means scratchbuilding. I see Sjors beat me to it.

Hello David, I think it's alright for you to post the next ship now. Anja

Hello Zyxuz, Looking good. I understand that the bowsprit is already glued in place. Does it still has a little slack to move it to the starboard side? If so, then maybe you can still correct it. I hope you will receive some more comments about this. Good luck. Anja

I won't continue the search. You spotted her David.

Hello Danny, I thought this one was going to be easy. But I must guess again, or better search some more. Will continue the search the morning. Have a safe trip. Anja

Anja replied to Albuk's topic in - Kit build logs for subjects built from 1851 - 1900
Hello Albuk, Thank you for your reply. I'm glad you and Elmir are in contact with eachother. You can share your tips and ideas. As for making your own strips. Maybe you already did, but just have a look here, maybe it is of use to you. Otherwise you can just state your worries or your question there for help and advise. http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/822-milling-my-own-wood/ Looking forward to your progress. Anja -

HMS Howe? She was the school ship HMS Impregnable in the 1890s through 1911.

Your background removal was very ingenious Danny. At first I found a lot of similar ships, but all with no name. This was a fun one to search for. Here is mine before I go to work. Removed the flags (of course), but for you guys that shouldn't be a problem. Have a nice day.

Ok, Lasarus then?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
