Robert. Then I have another tip for you that you have not done ...... Use filler on the first planking and sanding it smooth! Now I see a few gaps and you will see that on the second planking. It will save you a lot of work. Take a look at my Agamemnon ( when you can find when I was planking over there ) Sjors

Hi Robert, I'm just reading your log and I have to say I'm impressed by the speed...... And it looks great ! Maybe a tip, hint or whatever you want to call it... I see that you are using full length of planks. Maybe it is better to use scale planks ? For me it was easier to work with that then full planks. If this is better for you, don't change ! Sjors

And time stood still...... 5 months....very quick Ulises You have find a good way to fit in those steal gun ports. I like it ! ( yes, I also hit that button ) Then the planking....I think you can make it smoother by using filler. You've got to do a second planking ?( of course you have ) You still need filler for the gaps in the hull. When you put the second planking on right now, you will see it later ( after you've done the second planking ) So be brave , use filler and sanding it smooth ! Please ???? Sjors

Thank you @ Larry, Just do it ! It's fun and take more of your skills then you think ! Because it is bigger, you will see more ! There is no timetable to start such a beast...... @ Tom, One of the experts has all ready answered. This is what you've got when you are looking at other builds and not at the drawings...... It's not correct what I have done but I keep it this way. Lesson learned ! @ Mark, Thank you for your expertise....... Always nice when a critical eye is watching over my shoulder @ Jason, I sleep like a new born build You make my day !!!!!! @ Augie, Sweet dreams Sjors

I have try to remove the chimney but I think I will be having more damage . So I'll keep it this way. When someone ask me about it, I can always say that it is standing on a spindle....... You can turn it any time you want ! How about that solution ? Sjors

Thank you @ Grant, No, I'm not change jobs . It lis because I have the late shift this week. So I'll be driving in the dark....... Not on a horse but on a bus ! In the asphalt jungle !!! @ Mark, I have take a look at the drawings and you are right.....strange. For my feeling when I put the chimney the other way, the smoke is going the wrong way when the ship is sailing. And the wind is blowing into the chimney and the fire goes out...... @ Popeye, I can try that. Maybe it works for me also ? @ Piet, Thank you. And can you keep that Chiwawa at your own place ? Our Rothweiller don't like that Sjors

And the dust ? It just happened ! There are a few more things to do on the deck like the railing around the hatches of the stairs and the cannons...... Rigging again ! The next update can take a while....... And thanks George, Tim, Augie and Mobbsie. @ Augie, I forget to show you the curved railing...... I shall make a picture of that tomorrow for you And also thanks who push the like button ! Sjors

Yes, I'm still building.... Not to much because of other things that has to be done. So it is time for a little update. I have made the gratings, stairs, railings, timber heads, belfry and a few more of that little stuff. I think it will come clear when you see the pictures. I know that you will see dust but I have no time to clean If I clean it, 10 seconds later you will see dust again...... Enough talking, time for pictures ! Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
