Yes, that same blade will respond in the same manner when used on my Proxxon FET.  If it is used on any hard wood I must take very slow shallow passes, otherwise the deflection appears. Repetitive use on hard woods will certainly shorten the lifespan of its effectiveness......best to be used on softer woods.

Using a blade that is too thin for the material could come into play, and might be more noticeable with harder wood.  The blade being dull can also definitely cause it.  I had the same problem on my Byrnes.  When I was ripping planks, the width began to vary and thin along the length of the plank.  I was worried that I had thrown something out of alignment on the saw.  I'd been using the same .040" blade since I purchased the machine.  I replaced the blade and problem went away.  Someplace on the website (unfortunately not in the articles and download section - it is attached to a post in https://modelshipworld.com/topic/20499-new-to-table-saw/ but I kept getting error messages when I tried to attach it here) is a great document by Jeff Hayes who used to operate Hobby Mill with recommendations for blade size for different thickness materials.  Definitely want to be using different thickness and toothed  blades for different thickness woods.  Might want to replace the blade and see if the problem goes away  (or use a thicker blade).  Can't hurt to have a spare.  If the one you are using isn't dull now, it eventually will be.

Yes, the hull curvature will pose some challenges with placement.    One can reinforce the copied template with any clear thin tape such as packing tape. Use an exacto to open the gun ports on the template and  then carefully secure to hull when correct positioning has been confirmed.  The openings on the template allow one to mark out positions on the hull and then the cut out process can begin.

Needless to say, using the "fit to page" option for our purposes would indeed lead to unwelcome complications, putting it mildly. Secondly, any method chosen to translate information from a plan can get "screwed up" if care is not taken.  What an accurate copy of any gun port plan does is reduce the repetitive transfer of measurements which can lead to inconsistency.

From his description in the original post I would gather that his planking has already been completed and the query is over how to establish a reference for the gun port openings.

Printing a copy off of the plans and using the copy as a template is an option that I've found works for me. An inexpensive home printer  with scanning capabilities does the trick as transferring measurements always led to inaccuracies  for me.

While no expert on the saw, if the one degree discrepancy  exists on the back side than I would think this would aid in clearance with a cut piece as it advances past the blade. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I just finished a major upgrade of speakers and settings. The last step is to choose a music provider Spotify or Tidal.

Few other sets of notches are done on the deck beams, it is much easier while the deck beams are not glued yet.

This is my last step before giving the model it's landing gear. Hallelujah ( I love finishing a model and the thrill of starting another).
Since the last time, I've added the afterburners and a handful of other small details, given it a thorough coat of clear gloss to seal the decals and tweaked a few panel lines. I'm at the point of diminishing returns so going to soon call it "finished".

    Hello,
thank you for the nice notes and the many LIKES.

Before I continue with the ratlines I have to do the following:
Along the bulwark of the French corvette, a series of blocks, serving for diverting, for example, halliards and other ropes, were hung in eyebolts.
These blocks had iron fittings and hooks. I made them in a proven way.

Besides model kits, I also collect decal sets. Often, I buy a decal set and then wait until later to find a model kit appropriate for the decals. That's the case here as I bought a beautiful set of decals from Syhart that replicates a particular French Rafale aircraft as it appeared in the Tigermeet 2013 markings. These decal sets tend to be limited production items that disappear before you know it...you have to get them where/when you can.
Anyway, I'll get started on the model kit and look forward to the finished aircraft with these beautiful (to me) markings.
