  1. thanks for your nice comments. I expect to continue tomorrow, nice sunday without any appointments, so all day working on the Vasa, hopefully, unless my wife has other plans.
  2. started with the canon doors (do not know the correct english term) and mounted the figures below the galleries, these does not fit perfect.

  6. now the other side: Unfortunately I am out of glue, need to go the shop this weekend for new glue in the meantime already the figures for the gallery sorted by shape and color
  7. first gallery completed with the mermaids, now the figures on the downside of the galleries and of course the other gallery
  8. the yellow lines are now finished (leftover wood strips 0,5mm) and continued with the figures on the galleries I adjust these with my sanding machine

  11. Thanks Nigel, I know that glue and I even have this in my workshop. I will experiment with this glue

You should use the macro of your camera only for yourself to see what you made in detail, specially when you need glasses I am searching here locally for a good glue to do the same as you with the deadeyes, however in our local modelbuildersshop or DIY shops without succes. I am contacting now a local glue supplier/manufacture. Is it possible to make a picture of the glue bottle with some chemical information if available?

Does anyone knows a website with very good pictures of the 1:10 model in the Museum which I can use for the painting as a guideline I am now using this as a reference, but not all details are complete shown. http://www.modelships.de/Museums_and_replicas/Vasa-Museet-Stockholm/Photos-Vasa-model.htm during my visit in Stockholm I made some pictures but due to the bad light in the museum, most of them were not good made (studid, I know) I can ask for a re-visit to my wife, but I assume she will not approve this visit
  15. made a test with the yellow paint to finalize the main paintings before final mounting the figures
  16. made a paper copy of the stern to adjust all items in dryfit need to make an adjustment on top of the lions. I will carf some relief in it. Further I will not use the kit windows and make some of my own
  17. Hello Karl, Welcome here. there is nowadays a big Wasa community here in MSW, so for almost every problem you have, someone will have an answer.

  19. That is indead a good point for the Billing kit. I have already painted al figures and I am not going to change this anymore. I will check this weekend which and how many figures are having a problem.
  20. Thanks Frank, I got that tip also elsewhere, but wanted to confirm this with someone with experience with the Wasa Corel kit
  21. Question for the Corel builders of the Wasa. I am dry-fitting the figures and noted that I have to modify some of them as the angel is not correct, specially on the galleries Does anyone have any experience in adjusting these figures by bending or other technics. Thanks

  24. the last days busy with the finalization of the painting work (still several days to go !!!!) but in order to see some progress, I have mounted some items already
