    Thanks Jay, The North Sails logos were printed on paper , cut out and glued on the Sail cloth , I am happy with how the turnbuckles turned out. Thanks Patrick, I am pleased with how the Sails turned out, as far as the withdrawals, I will be getting back to work on the Volvo 65 Best Regards, Pete

    A busy day in the shipyard, I started by opening the Sail loft , I then made the main and Jib added the halyards out haul down haul and Jib sheets. ( I had to add the North Sails Logo's because if you Sail you gotta use North Sails ) I then turned my attention to installing the turnbuckles wich I made yesterday . Next I added the cleats ( also made yesterday ) then I added the Cleats to the Mast and Boom. Next will be to install all the Blocks , Rudder , Tiller and rig up the Sails, I am hoping that she will be completed tomorrow. Here are the results

    Thank you Michael, She's coming along , and thanks for the Teak Cap'n'Bob and Patrick, Hindsight is always 20/20 and the thing's that I wished I would have done on the first one I was able to do on this one and there were a lot of improvements that I wanted to do. the only thing that I would have liked to do to this one is to have her be able to Sail. I am planning a 1 1/2 " = 1' - 0" scale version of this boat with radio control.( I have a big wish list for my M-15 so once I put a dent in that and get her on the water I will start that version ) Best Regards, Pete

    Well, I am on the Down Wind leg of this build, I started by installing the rear Deck, I then made the trim piece's for the fore and aft bulkheads of the Cockpit. Next, I made the rub rail, and toe Rails and installed and stained them. I then made and installed the trim for the Cockpit Coamings Yesterday I added a second coat of varnish to the Mast and painted the Spreaders white. Next will be to make the Tiller and finish the Rudder Blade, then start on the Hardware, Sails and Rigging. Here are the results

    Today, Rather than making the trim package, I decided today would be a great day to make the Mast and Boom. I started by tapering the Mast, next I gave it some shape and made the Spreaders. I then turned my attention to making the Boom. I then made the Gooseneck . I then installed the Spreaders and Gooseneck . I then drilled the holes for the Shrouds ( rigging ) and installed the eyes. I then applied a thin coat of Varnish. Next will be to paint the Spreaders white . Here are the results

    Hi Patrick, That's funny that you should say that , I have been accused of being a Piano builder a few times. I think that I have gotten a lot better at finishing , when I joined this forum ( MSW) finishing was the hardest part for me Best Regards, Pete

    Thank you Cap'n'Bob , I hope so, she should look fantastic all dressed up and ready to go Thank you Michael, I think Teak would look great on the Buzzards Bay , I am planning a 1 1/2" = 1' - 0" scale radio version ( the original drawings for the boat are in that scale ) and the teak would set her off nicely Best Regards, Pete

    I will start by saying this is the most difficult Boat I have ever built. It took 3 days to get the Cabin figured out ( lots of angles and curves all converging on one spot ) it worked out and will be a lot easier on the next one. ( there will be a next one probably a free sail version maybe Team Brunel graphics I am not sure yet ) the deck and cabin have been painted a Flat White ,and more sanding will be required . I made the cradle, she almost ready for the Keel and Rudders. Here are the results

    I have a small update on the Herreshoff, The varnish has cured enough to handle her so I masked off the Cockpit Coamings and Hull , and gave her a light sanding with 600 grit sandpaper. I then brushed a coat of flat white to the Deck, The rear Deck has not been installed at this point. Next will be to get the trim package together and install. Here are the results

    I started the day ( very early ) by cutting the Frames for the Cockpit Floor. ( there is a gradual slope from the Bow to the Transom ) I then cut the Frames, and installed the Cockpit Floor. I then turned my attention to getting the camber set for the Deck. Next I installed the Deck starting at the Bow and working my way back toward the Transom. I then added the scarf to the sides of the Deck ( both Starboard and Port ) Next I made sure that the Bowsprit slot would work accordingly and then installed the bow section of the Deck. I then installed the Cockpit sides up to where the Cabin Bulkhead starts . I then faired the Deck in with the Hull. Then did the same with the Cockpit. Next will be to lay out the Cabin . Here are the results

    Well, Today was the day that I had been waiting for .After 3 years I am the proud new owner of a Montgomery 15 sailboat. A little over 3 years ago Kate and I had been talking about going Sailing again, and we had decided on the Montgomery 15. wich would be the perfect cruising boat for us. I am the 3 rd owner of this boat and I am excited about going sailing, Next will be to get all the Teak redone and oiled . Here are the results
