  1. Thank you Piet , I still have to do some touch up on the blue , it got away from me in a few spots Thank you David B,, I am pleased with how the white turned out on the Hull. Its a semi gloss white Best Regards, Pete
  2. Today, I started the day by masking off the wing Keel and Painting the blue highlights. This Boxing Kangaroo is just about finished. Here are the results
  3. Today was Wing Keel day for Stars and Stripes , I started by bringing the last plank down to the Keel Line. Then I faired it in, Next using the Plans, I made the wing , I then built up the Keel to the Trim Tab , and faired it in . Then I attached the wing and built it up . And started to fair it in. A little more fairing on the wing and she is just about ready for paint. Here are the results
  4. Thank's Jay, She has an incredible hull shape , and very intrresting lines toward the bow section. Kate does enjoy Sailing and is Happy that I am building Boats Again Hi Michael, I like the look of the " non Standard " transom for theses boat as well . This is the first one, that I have done like this Best Regards, Pete
  5. Thank you Mark, the full Keel does have Ballast, The Herreshoff 12 1/2 is a Beautifully Designed & very well balanced Boat. and is also Known as the " Buzzards Bay Boys Boat " Best Regards, Pete
  6. Thank you Piet, I was Fortunate to see America3 in person, ( during the 92' Cup ) an Amazing Yacht, with incredible Speed , And of course the winner of the 92' America's Cup , It was alot of fun Best Regards, Pete

  8. Today , I was able to get alot of work in on A3 . I planked the boat and started Fairing the Hull , The Transom ( or lack of a transom ) was the tricky part . Other than that smooth as silk , I am looking at a simple keel design wich should be fairly straight forward, and a final fairing . Here are the results
  9. Thanks Geoff , These 3/16" Cup Boats are pretty small , Without a Mast and rigging they build pretty quik .This one is almost 14 " in length Best Regards, Pete
  10. Thanks Omega, There is no problem with Stars & Stripes, It was a larger boat that I had been researching for the past 3 months . I had the drawings for Stars & Stripes and Australia II for about 15 years . its easy to get drawings off the net , However if you want accurate numbers/ Drawings you will have to talk to the design firm that drew the boat Best Regards, Pete
  11. Thank you Dave, I will be doing 3 at this scale and another at a larger scale that will be R.C. Here is a hint
  12. Nice work Dave , the Mast looks great , and you have all the blocks installed , She's moving right along . Nice work Best Regards, Pete
  13. Here is where I am at with the Build, the Fairing is complete and ready for planking, The triangle at the back of the Boat will be removed after the planking is complete ( it's there to keep everything Square ) Here are the results
  14. This Morning , It was decided that I would shelf my next build ( too many complications) Kate ( my Wife )said it would be a good Idea to put it down for a while. ( She is always right in these matters ) Anyway I was looking at IACC plans , And found that A3 has an intresting hull shape . So I decided to build Her in the same manner as the other 2 Cup Boats ( Australia II & Stras & Stripes ) a Hull only build , in the same scale . I was fortunate enough ( Living in Southern California ) to go to the Races , and see the boat's wich replaced the 12 meter Yacht's. It was a Facinating America's Cup , with the New Zealand Bowsprit scandal , Paul Cayard becomming a Italian Citizen ( He was the tactician for Tom Blackaller for the 87' cup ) Any way here is where I am at with the Build ,The Hull Planking will be done today . It look's Like the Pete48 Syndicate will be building 4 Boats for this Campaign . Here are the results
