  1. Best thing I found - soak the flag in watery PVA then crunch it to get it to fold in the position you want, then let it dry/set before attaching the cord/rope/fine thread. OC.
  2. Well done my friend you have done a truly splendid job - everything about her looks spot on perfect - a real credit to your hardwork and commitment - just needs a home now. OC.
  3. Evening all, more progress with me little tank, more work progressing with the turret internals, basically some supports and a bit of height adjustment to make sure it fits in the hull, lost more to add. OC.
  4. Thanks Ken, its supprising how much wider the lower inside hull is in the M1 compared to the Chally. OC.
  5. Im fully happy with that Ekis, if the mods could move those sections over to my Waterlood build I would be pleased and grateful. Gratitude to you for yor help and advice with my quiry. OC.
  6. Evening all, more progress, next stage in the internal detail (battle) I mean build, is to compare the Chally turret ring with the M1 - yep quite a difference (the M1 quite a bit wider) the M1 ring also has all the detail on it - so I wanted to try to transfer the ring (part of it) over onto my Chally, this was not going to be easy as the only thing I could do was to follow a ridge on the bottom that is the right width I need, and to score through it with my scalpel blade till it went all the way through the plastic. Messy and nearly a dangerous job as the blade did slip a few times, but after about an hour of blade work it eventualy broke through, just a bit of clean up and a test fit - it needed to be slit then shaped a bit at the front thenglued in place while pushing against the rim, after I added a Two part edge under there the Breech will be. Think it will work.......... OC.
  7. Evening all, right then - straight in with the fun bit, so I dug out the internal parts from the M1 kit - all Five sprues with about Two Hundread parts, first thing was to cut the round bottom floor section out, I also took the M1 lower hull section out and compared it to my Chally one - "Upsss Problem"..............the Chally widthe between wheel/track well sides in narrower then the M1, so the round floor setion will not drop down into the space, only option was/is to file off both sides of the floor to allow it to fit, only problem doing this is it means the turret will not be able to rotate and will have to be glued forward or rear fixed down. I can not make the whole floor rounded and smaller as there are side pieces that glue to the floor and lign up with the turret ring, the distance between these would be two small and not lign up. The top is just dry fitted and will be for some time yet. Almost foregot..........I also added a bit more bling in the shape of a PE reel cage and reel on the rear. Lots of head scratching moments yet to come ................."who had this idea"???????😁 OC.
  8. We had our normal covering of snow - brought the normal chaos and disruption to traffic (well if we were not in lockdown it would have done)😊 My pic out the window. OC.
  9. Gorgeous mate - right down to the lever adjusters - you have done that machine so much credit. OC.
  10. Will follow your build mate, they are Superb kits and are really well made, I think like me you will love building yours. OC.
  11. Bet that rides beautiful cant beat a decent sports bike. OC.
  12. Thank you kindly Denis, yes Rye Field Models are Superb with so much detail - deffo recommend them to anyone wanting to do an armoured kit. OC.
  13. I would have to measure it - but at a guess 3-4mm. Here is a close up showing the roof section after they have painted it (red is not supposed to be the correct colour - from online sorces the oppionion is they were Grey). OC.
  14. Thank you brother for keep finding this info - really will help my build plan. OC.
  15. Thanks Ken, the roof in the MDF kit is just that - flat MDF with at best lines scored to replicate tiles, and at worst just pened in, there are no individual tiles. OC.
  16. I once had an F117 Stealth kit same issue - tail sitter - do you think I could find some (fitting) nose weight for it.😁 OC.
  17. Thank you EG. Edward thats put some things into context - food for thought, quite a few decisions regarding the time frame during the day I want to show early on and the damage to the farm was limited but later on towrds the late afternoon is when the French attempted to set fire to the barn if not the farm to draw the KGL out. OC.
