  1. Respect to you bro for doing these tests - its will be of help not just to your own build but others also. OC.
  2. Hi all, Right I finished off the masking and checked it over a few times - then I took it outside and gave it a few coats of RAF Green, its currently in the cupboard with the Seafire de-gasing. OC.
  3. Hi all, Right the Dark Sea Grey top coat is on - its currently de-gasing in the cupboard. OC.
  4. I like what you have done - its not easy (I tried it years ago on a Phantom - it didn't turn out too good)👍 OC.
  5. Thank you Grant, No - what I have learned is to be more careful with rolling the Blu Tack into smoother smaller sausage shapes and longer runs, then to be more precise how I place them, also I am pressing them down further than I did before to make sure they have better adhesion with the plane, hopefully this way the lines will be smoother. OC.
  6. Hi all, I have kicked this one off again - I have started to re mask by using Blu Tack but making cleaner curves to cover the rough edges. OC.
  7. Your doing better than I could do with a silver finish keep up the good work bro. OC.
  8. Thanks Edward, nah they are munching on Marks popcorn - he has made a shed to keep it in due to its size. OC.
  9. Coming on bro, a silvee finish isn't easy so I dont envy you. OC.
  10. Having a slight change of subject so back on this for a bit - variety is the spice of life and all that, so next job on the Seafire was masking time, I used my normal - paper and tamiya tape, but I also found that blu tack came in usuful for masking the exhuasts and wing detail section - next job to spray the primer. OC.
  11. Same sentiment as EG, doe s that cause loss of sensation and feeeling in the one leg? OC.
  12. I already had a funny thing happen with the jeep and I aint telling anyone (have me self respect to think of)🤐 OC.
  13. What a great idea with those supports - keeping glue from seeping out has always been a problem for us builders - too little and the join opens back up - too much and we have some clean up to do, your idea looks good. OC.
  14. Looking great bro, is that a dry fit with the bands? looks a nice fit with out gluing - no issues with the fit of the tub by the look of it. OC.
  15. Thank you kindly Jack, I am quite pleased how it turned out its amazing how fidly and tiny it is at 1/48, last time I built a jeep it was Tamys 1/35 similar to EG's fine example. OC.
  16. Hi bro, yep the fire extinguisher is in the kit with the figures, no batt starter though, I am going to display her as if she had been bombed up (as she has) already fueled up and the truck has moved off, some last minute minor repairs (hence my dad being in the scene) and some of the stuff being put away including stuff put away in the trailor, and the crew there getting ready to board and start thier pre flight checks. OC.
  17. Good evening all, the jeep and trailor are finaly finished and I thought I would show a teaser - of the start of the dio (or how it could look) OC.
  18. Well done mate you have done an amazing job she really does look stunning, I have loved following along and look forward to you next. OC.
