I fancy a 1/48 scale one but imagine the room needed 5-6 feet? Just worked it out 222 feet wing span at 1/48 is 4.6 feet. OC. -

I guess its different if you are painting the Hull like I did - then it wouldn't matter so much. OC.

Do you know what I would do Mark? mix up some saw dust past and rub that in, let it dry completley then do a bit of light sanding, the saw dust/pva would fill the gaps and sanding would blend then in and smooth out any rough bits or high spots. OC.

This is the scheme I am going for - its an all over the top and sides EDSG with lower Sky, a Single Roundel on the fuselage with a Red letter 0, on the tail will be the normal flash and with roundels ontop and underneath the wings, this was a test scheme the Navy brought in before it was applied to the newer Seafires in 1945. Its the lower one out of the Three, also thease are the latter model of Seafire with the Griffin engine mine has the earlier Merlin. OC.

Hi Pat, I have found these Two pics on the net - one shows Hood with white chains and the other from Warpy's bridge you can just make out the same white colour chains, the problem with this kit ones they are way over scale. The only White paint i have the the Admiralty paints Acrylic in white. OC.

Loving those invasion stripes/bands, it had past my mind on mine as one of the schemes - but mine would have had to be painted on by hand using dull white Acrylic paint, so I decided no to bother. OC.

Looking great Carl have to keep remembering the scale 1/72 does not give a very large canvas to work on. OC.

Good day all a bit more progress - I dug out the spit out of the box as it had enough time to de gas and is now smell free, think it came up ok. OC.
