  3. And still a lot of amidships detail to go in, I already have my next project lined up in the same scale, 1/200 Sovremenny, with the detail set being sent from WEM
  4. good evening everyone, today spent some time on the aitrcraft, and at the end of it, I just placed two of them and put some of the ships boats into position (possibly not the right position) to see what it looks like, I am actually quite pleased with it
  5. spent a few hours yesterday and today working on the ships boats, only the outer hull is original from the kit, the rest is PE only the outer hull is used, everything else comes as part of the KA PE kit all parts for one and four well that's 7 done
  6. Keith, I love you, in a very NRG MSW sort of way, lol I bought the EOS 1300 in December to replace my EOS 350D and yes I do a lot of green zone auto settings ( just using it a point and shoot), - I will try harder, just need to adapt to the replacement, thank you for the advice
  7. for some reason i am not able to get decent picture with new camera, the build actually does look better in RL, still experimenting with the weathering
  8. Greg, she looks fantastic I have just read you log from the start, wife not happy with me lol, because my next build arrived yesterday, I just purchased the Trumpeter 1/200 sovermenny and PE kit from WEM I have presently been busy with the Bismarck, and hoping to complete her within the next month or so, hope you are well and happy new year
  9. Thank you Joe, and everyone for the likes and comments spent more time today on the bow area, will need a lot of weathering I think
  10. good evening everyone made progress on the bow today, and then started to darken the decking more, you can see the difference by number 2 turret, My trusty friend Dobbie is never far away from me
  11. there is But I doubt they would have sat very well on the wooden deck,
  12. lots of masking to set up the aircraft identification markings with a combination of airbrush and freehand, as the wood decking was hard to mask and some bleeding occured, lol this will not be re done again
  13. Happy new year everyone decided to get one outstanding project done, far to many projects, all to big with no where to put them, lol sometimes it seams simpler to buy another than find out where to restart on a ongoing build, bought new needles for the airgun, and it has solved most of my problems, apart from using Lifecolor paints
  14. where does my time go to, last post was september, and since then modeling has been restrited to the SD14, But the mancave has had a revamp in the last couple of weeks just need to sort some shelfs out, spent the last couple of days on plastic, to see if my mojo is back for another stint on the VIC and it is
  15. looking very good Paul, missing mine, which is on hold - again
  16. good evening everyone, Decided to go for a Grey primer for the deck, and a red orca for the bulkheads, this is all on top of a paper primer that I used Modge Podge
  17. Anyone happen to know what colour the decks, and bulkheads of 1960 cargo holds would be I would possible ques at red oxide for everything or white bulkheads and green decks
  18. Good evening everyone, LOL it is me the one who used to post everyday, until we got a dog, now what used to be spare time is shared time, but would not have it any other way on the SD14 having completed the tank top, the three Bulkheads for the deep cargo space then went in, these are now being firmed up as the big cross section frames go in, enjoying the build, but want to go back to the Victory soon non of the top box girders are fixed yet hence looking a little squiffy
  19. I found this on the web and would like to achieve this with the bow section this is by a modeler called Nader Taheri
  20. Good morning everyone well I have now 99% completed the the Tank top Longitudinal s, and hope to completed the rest today, have also started to remove the tank top plates, which will then complete the double bottom, still not sure how this section will be set in a diorama when completed but as for the stern the intentions are to show her as new, and the bow in a breakers yard
