The following four pictures is from his ship and the detailing he put in to this.

I have tried to find a website related to Trident Models, but didn't .... any search on the cutter went to SoS.
From ShipofScales website.
Uwek the admin is taking orders for the kit.
They have been using the plans from " Anatomy of the ship" -The naval cutter Alert.

Nirvana got a reaction from mtaylor in Wanted: Eisnor's plans for the Bluenose (first one)
RPaul,
Unfortunate getting them the true way from modelshipbuilder seems to be the only way.
I would like to get copies of them as well. Am building ModelshipWays version of Bluenose.

Nirvana got a reaction from thibaultron in Alert-Class Tug by fnkershner - FINISHED - 1:35 scale - 3D printed
Being part of this huge project, (which we never expected from the beginning) I am very honored that the barge design I did got the name of the former president of the union Alan Cote. I would never believe such a thing would happened.
As Floyd mentioned, it feels extremely good to have been part of a project that will benefit Maritime students in their learning process of getting a well paid job.
I am thankful for all the support and help provided during this time.
Without Neal and Floyd this would have never happened.
This joint venture has been a challenge and a lot of hair tearing.... lol, but at the end we pulled it together.
I am very proud of what we have accomplished.
I know for sure there will be a picture of the barge and tug together while being used for educational purpose.

Nirvana reacted to Peter Bloemendaal in US Brig Syren by Peter Bloemendaal - FINISHED - Model Shipways - 1:64
Hi Dirk,
I'm afraid I'm not brave enough to re-arrange the anchor rope at this stage. I wrapped it around too tightly and it's lost its natural look, so I'm not even happy the way it looks now. But I glued it to the deck, around the riding bits and into the hawse hole and with the restricted access I'm afraid I'll make a mess of it when I try to pull it off. It will be a lesson learned for next time.
Hi Jesse,
Yes they are. They needed a bit of filing to clean them up, but they didn't have the pits and imperfections you experienced. Maybe you can ask for a replacement pair from the supplier.
Peter

Well here is another Log entry. That's two entries in two days. We were supposed to go out this long weekend for our wedding anniversary but I ended up getting the flu instead. With clear instructions to stay out of everyone's way to make sure I didn't pass the flu on, what better place to go than in the shed working on the model. I'm very obedient following instructions like that....lol. I was (still am) not feeling too good, but I got quite a bit done.
In this case I added some lines to the anchors, painted the buoys and added the buoy harnesses.
Just 2 photo's this time.

Thanks Chris, I am looking forward to seeing your log. Being a 'newby' and being able to finish the hull is a pretty good start in my book. The Syren is an enjoyable build but not an easy one....lol
Thanks for all the 'likes' as well everyone.
I have another update with a few photo's. I finished the Spritsail yard rigging and have made a start on the anchors and buoys. I just loosely placed the anchors for the photos' at this stage. I also added some close-ups of the various belaying points (which made me realise I still have about 100+ odd rope coils to do as well before I finish....sigh)...
Peter.

Nirvana reacted to fnkershner in Alert-Class Tug by fnkershner - FINISHED - 1:35 scale - 3D printed
Ok I promised a complete set of pictures before I deliver the tug on Wednesday. so here goes!
By the way Ron thanks for the tip on Word. It worked like a champ. The Tug is completed right down to the decals and all the details on the mast. I must say that Neal did a great job rewiring all the LEDs on the mast using Magnet wire. This was definitely a team effort. After I return On Thursday we will begin to focus on the Barge. The Barge is scheduled to be delivered in July. We will have a christening party in Astoria for both vessels.

Aft hatch coming together with eye-connectors on port and starboard side.
This is a composite picture, so there might some misalignment within. Sorry about that.

Nirvana got a reaction from Duanelaker in Bluenose by Nirvana - Model Shipways - Scale 1:64
I have finally been able to work on my dear Bluenose.
Starting up where I left off wasn't to hard. A light clean up of the work-area and I was ready again.
Creating the Gammon iron for the bowsprit was easier than I thought, using the plywood from bulkheads and false keel, I had the right thickness and with a bowsprit ready shaped I clamped it down and used a plier to get the angles.
The aft hatch was created with a center block and strips on the side. The sides are taller to sit the umber top piece.
Again this will be natural colored just like the other hatch.

Thank you Bobby, for the nice comment.
She is a nice build, sometimes I have stayed true to the instructions other times other sources have been to help.
Right now I am in stand still due other commitments. Looking forward to get going again, and also seeing your build log.

Adding a rendering of the barge.
From not knowing anything about Fusion360 and it's tools, I have learned a lot.
A great tool where you can send files for 3d printing, laser cutting and CNC/routing machining.
The barge has it's name dedicated.
