Canute, I'd just been viewing Kostas Kaseas latest build. If you take the time to look at his previous work on that site it will be very clear he's a cut above the rest. Probably the best.

If you look at Koppalakki‘s work here, probably another of the top 10 in particular super detailing and painting with an airbrush. 
 

his yamato is the benchmark as far as I’m concerned.

Looks like they rubbed up against a cruiser and stole her props! Do you have information on actual diameter?

No but the Tribal class also has really big props as well.

And we’re back, two final  1945 versions

By late 1945 the A turret had Ben replaced with a hedgehog, and the B turret with a 4” gun with metal skirts. The underside of it from all my research appears to be closed in.

Added some details such as support struts and splinter mattresses. Not 100% sure on the breakwater configuration behind the hedgehog

So my guru Rob Morrow who has been my guide for this build is of the opinion that the front shield under the apron is partitioned with metal on the bottom and canvas on the top. So a bit more surgery.

So with this in mind, version 2, I’ll use some foil across the frame

That huge antenna looks like it would snap that little mast in rough weather.

They were pretty heavily stayed by the look of them

The centre bandstand, the single 4” was replaced with a 20mm cannon

I’m at a bit of a loss here, I’m not sure what goes where the radar (before that the search light) went apart from a metal bar as a Arial spreader.

I’ve been informed by Rob Morrow the radars are a bit different so I’m going to alter them.

Next, the black hole on the ship is what went where the forward torpedo tubes went. I’m going to speculate and put a ventilator here. I’ll put sun sail over it.

Getting my paint on, some panel lines and some etching. But of sanding to go yet.

So apparently it was this colour in 1945 and the lower hull was a grey colour
