My wife accepted the model when the postman came. I thank God that she likes my hobby so much.

 

Of course there is already a Pontos set for the ship.

 

 

Three sheets of instructions. Now made a little more understandable than before.

I hope you can see that through the bags. I don't like unpacking it before I start building.

But one consolation is the kit even if not built is magificent just to set and stare at, which I do quite often while building the Calypso.   

Uhggggg, yes, tomorrow never comes for those projects. I am doing another "Swedish Death Cleaning sort" for my wife's benefit of my massive kit stash. Of course, I have the giant Nichimo Yamato and all of the Fujmi replacement fixes. I probably should post some of my kits for sale here. Of course, if Trumpy really wants to sell a zillion kits a 1/200 Kongo or any American cruiser would likely do very well. I might even build a USS Houston!

I finished building the Trumpeter 1/200 scale USS Missouri a few months ago. It turned out beautifully. I intend to donate it when I'm finished looking at it.

Unless we get ourselves one of those big commune style tubs, a model like that is WAY too big to float in our bathtubs at bath time. 🙂

That's a fact. You can run it in a lake or pond, but it better be quite calm and a good sized open space because it take a country mile to turn.
