Crackers,

As has been said before... Google Image Search is your friend. :P

Unless, of course, certain moderators (who shall remain nameless, Danny) manipulate said image such as flipping it to a mirror image or altering the backgrounds....

Then, unfortunately, Google image Search provides absolutely useless items such as pictures of highrise buildings or similar.

Wayne,

When this game first started in MSW 1.0, there was no Google Image Search.  Clues were provided periodically Sometimes there were several days or even weeks before the ship was identified.  It wasn't nearly as fast paced as it is now.  And for what Danny does.... good for him.  Somethings should be a challenge, right?  ;)

Are you joking???

is it really a question??

do you need really the name of the "thing" on the left??

Ok!

it is called "Rubber Duck" and it is a floating sculpture of the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman.

The photo was taken in Hong Kong.

But please, I refuse to win with such a "ship", so please make another question... :D  and consider null the present question!

Found her after a long search, I think.  The Esmeralda?

We are still waiting for confirmation of Anja's apparently correct guess. "Rubber Duck" is merely a distraction while we wait.

It amazes me how you folks manage to find the names of these obscure ships. You probably know the identity of every vessel going back to the days when the first Cro-Magnon cave dweller paddled his dug out log boat somewhere in Europe.

I believe that ship was called the Ug.  Which was Cromagnon for "floaty log thingy with branch that catch wind."    ;) JK  It amazes me as well the variety of ships that appear on this thread.  Especially the ones that evade the google image search.

Also I've heard tale that the giant rubber duck thing, that has yet to be properly identified and or confirmed in this thread, is appearing in the USA sometime soon.

While you are waiting for answer, if you are bored, try this:

-It is a promotional photo of a passenger room;

-it was really a black-white photo;

-the photo is not mirrored;

-the ship was USA made.

Which was the ship name? :huh:

the sub-section of the game is called "Cristiano raised the bar level to a new definition of pain" :D

The cabin is not found by Google....

There should be hundreds of these around: every line and liner had such pics around. (recently saw quite a bunch of these from the HAL)

But perhaps we should consider giving Anja a go, before wandering off in all (albeit interesting)  directions?

Hello Jan,

I think we can have a go, we've waited a whole long five days for an answer from Bill.

Maybe he secretly went on a vacation.

Well, here goes ..... Knowing you guys, do I have to say good luck?

Good luck anyway.
