I tried to order the ones in the kit but they are out of stock wherever I look. I found very similar ones and they should arrive Fri. I am still happy to do this now as fiddling with the lower mast rigging helped with the added work space. Attaching the various riggings The main yard of the mainmast has the yard central lifts tied off to the bits on the main gundeck. Only way is to thread it through the grate. I used ones I had around for the foremast as they were a bit heftier and the lasered ones on the main and mizzen. You an notice the difference. I liked your adding the extra layer around the yards. Regarding the lower masts I see a rope woolding without the requisite wooden hoops but also what look like iron bands. From James Lees' The Masting and Rigging of English Ships of War, page 2, "Iron bands superseded rope wooldings in 1800. They were 3 inches wide" (1.2mm at 1:64) From the photos the bands on the model look to be about 8 or 9 inches ( 3.5mm). As Indefatigable was near the time of transition, would there have been a mix of the types of rings used and a variety of sizes?
