I was always of the mind that the only stupid question was the one you wanted to ask but were too afraid or too embarrassed to ask!

@ccoyle Chris, what type of glue do you use in that applicator, post #12 ? I found that applicator in my local Hobby Lobby, tried to use Elmers yellow wood glue and disaster. Glogged it up good. Spent an hour with good ole isopropyl cleaning it out. Was intending to use it on my wood boat model. What glue(s) do you recommend using with it.

I had a recruit in my basic training company at Fort Dix that one upped the Drill Sergeant who caught him dozing in the bleachers in the cold in February during a lecture on tear gas training/use.
SGT : Private are you sleeping during my lecture ?
RECRUIT: No Sergeant ! I was just checking my eyelids for holes !
The SGT admitted that was the best comeback he'd ever heard from a trainee.

But more is the pity for those just starting - the best for this - the smaller size cordless models - are no longer for sale- i.e 8050 or MiniMite.
WeCheer makes a very good cordless rechargeable mini which is compatible with the Dremel bits. Got mine thru Woodcraft.

OC, you could try the stick method a lot of sign painters use when painting a company name on their glass doors/windows. I would get a 1/4 or 3/8 inch diameter Maple (or other hard wood) dowel, put a rubber tip on one end, start with a 24 or 36 inch length, trim to comfort. It should be long enough to span your diorama and rest the rubber tip on a work table surface. Hold the other end with one hand , rest your painting hand on the stick. I've seen professional sign painters use one and it's amazing how steady they can be.

OC, try taking a Probiotic. The antibiotics kill the good bacteria in your gut. You need to replace them.
