  1. Congratulations Francois on finishing your Granado. Your build turned out great and will be a nice model to display.
  2. Good job on the first four frames, but frame 5 looks to be off. It could be the photography, but if not, you should debond the joints and reglue them. You could soak the joints with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
  3. Welcome to Model Ship World.
  4. I started another ship model and then another. It got put on the back burner and occasionally I will pull it out and do a little work on it. I should really dedicate my time to finish this model. It will be almost 22 years since I started this build. Way too long to not have finished it.
  5. Hi Alan and welcome to Model Ship World.
  6. Welcome to Model Ship World Joanie. Your Bluenose is coming along nicely.
  7. Congratulations Bill on finishing your Revenue Cutter. You did an excellent job on building this model.
  8. Congratulations on finishing your Winchelsea. Your model is a work of art. I have enjoyed following your build log and it will definitely be a great reference for future Winchelsea builders.
  9. Welcome to Model Ship World Baboun.
  10. You will not go wrong on building the Duchess of Kingston. It builds into a beautiful model, plus the designer and manufacturer of this kit is on this site if you should have any questions.
  11. In the Search box, click on the search icon. This will open up the "advanced" search page. Enter the member name you are searching for in the search term box and check "Content titles only"in the find result in... area. This will bring up build logs for the member your are searching for.
  12. I would go with a kit that was designed within the last three to five years. Both Vanguard and OcCre have highly detailed build instructions, whereas some of the older kits from the established manufacturers have instructions that are decades old. The highly detailed instructions are definitely a help to the novice builder and will help the builder to achieve a finished model.
  13. Congratulations B.E. on finishing your Medway Longboat. It turned out great. The photos of the two different scale longboats are my favorites. I have enjoyed following your build log.
  14. Hello Ammrok. You have made a good start on your model. I have moved your post to the build log section of the forum. I look forward to seeing more pictures of your build.

  16. Congratulations Dan on finishing your Pram. I look forward to seeing your build log on your Lobster Smack.
  17. Hi Charles and welcome to Model Ship World. Your interests in modeling sounds just like one of the members in my ship model club. His name is John Cheevers and he does scratch builds of tugs. Here are links to his builds: https://www.hrsms.org/Content/model/huntington/ https://www.hrsms.org/Content/model/mariner/
