  3. Hi Giuseppe and welcome to Model Ship World. As others have stated, this model was designed as admiralty style. The designer of the kit is Chuck Passaro and he is a member of this forum.
  4. Hi Todd and welcome to Model Ship World. Please check out the Hampton Roads Ship Model Society. Several of our members are located in Norfolk and many are Navy veterans. Our club is participating in the IPMS Richmond Old Dominion Open show at Richmond Raceway this Saturday.   5. Welcome to Model Ship World Stephan. Glad you have decided to give model ship building a try. You should do just fine with your experience.
  6. Tim, You can add your name in the signature portion of your profile. When you post, your name will appear automatically at the bottom of your post. To do this, click on your profile picture. This will open up your profile screen and then hit the edit button. The signature section is located near the bottom of the edit section. Save your changes and you will be all set.

  12. Hi East Ender and welcome to Model Ship World. Are you a member of the Deltaville Ship Modelers Guild? They meet monthly at the Deltaville Maritime Museum. Some of their members are also members of the Hampton Roads Ship Model Society that meets at the Mariners Museum in Newport News. Good to have you aboard.
  13. Congratulations on finishing your first wooden ship model. You have done what a lot of first time ship modelers have not done and that is to complete the build. You faced many problems during the build, but you learned to overcome and work around the problems. I bet that there are a lot of builds that have wood inserted into gaps, wood filler added to spots and paint covering mistakes that you would never know about. The main thing is you did not give up and I applaud you for this. You have learned a lot and I look forward to seeing your next build as you will find an improvement in your skills.
