Like John said, the bow fender looks very good. Used tires in N scale? Small O rings could fill the bill. I don't know if you can get separate tires in N. I need to consult my N gurus, probably tomorrow. Your dicing of the styrene tubing should work.
Very nice progress to date. 😄

Ras, you may want to look at Tamiya German Gray, a Gunship Gray or possibly NATO Black. They're more of a charcoal gray, so you don't suck all the light out of your object.

Phil, that color is pretty close to the belly color on most Viet Nam era jungle camo paint jobs, It's too light for the later Ghost Gray schemes, though. Coming along nicely.

This era of ships is one I keep coming back to for study. The blockade runners are ones I know little about. Lead on, Glen.😄

How's that trip down the rabbit hole going, Greg. You might need another prime mover.

Phil, we are here to help. 😄 The SLUF was the jet I wanted to fly after I got my pilot's wings. The AF chose another career path for me. 😉
That model came loaded with weaponry in use in the late 60s/early 70s. Very nice. My Phantom had 4 Sparrow radar missiles and the nose mounted cannon. Pretty bare bones.
Nice work on the antennas and sensors.

Phil, that looks like a Vought factory model, given to new pilots checking out in. I have an F-4E, looking very old. Very nice of you to restore it. The gray scheme is one of the later schemes for the SLUF (Short Little Ugly Fella). I do question the SAC markings, since these were tactical aircraft. Active duty bases were at Davis-Monthan, AZ, Myrtle Beach, SC and Korat, Thailand. And there were numerous Air National Guard bases. A-7s were at Korat to replace the USAF A-1s that were being retired. They flew Sandy missions as part of the combat search and Rescue (SAR) missions. Looking forward to your refreshing the old girl.

What is the media used in the tumbler. I have an ultrasonic cleaner and a tumbler I use for cleaning cartridge brasses. The ultrasonic uses several liquids depending on the task. The media tumbler uses a variety of cleaning/polishing media, like corncobs and walnut hulls.

Might try vacuuming the keyboard to get any dust and such off the 'board.
