    I just found your update Ian and it is very impressing. I see you decided not to go with sails, I like the looks of it and may now have to re-think my plans of installing sails. I was hoping to have mine finished by end of August but now end of Sept is the next target. The rigging looks great. I knew you were going to pass me!!

    Had my mill and lathe for two years before I bought the DRO this year, would not be without it. I would highly suggest to buying it.

    Lawrence: Thanks, I was a little apprehensive about installing them as, unlike you, I don't have a wonderful Admiral who could sew them. The ones in the kit are almost completely done so I think I can get away with using some of that iron on sewing tape. At least that's the plan Darrell: Thanks, great of you to stop by

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
