    Yes it is a little one sided here. I would be embarrassed to take pictures. In fact there is another doll out there somewhere in the mail as we speak. You have a fantastic collection that would be the envy of anyone. Nice work.

    Nicely done Brian A good friend of mine served on Agile class MSOs when they towed them to the Middle East. I am pretty certain that he would be envious of your build.

    We not only had that, except it was more .22s than shotguns. To go even further into the realm of shock. We has both archery and rifle safety taught AT SCHOOL in high school! There was a rifle/archery range behind the football field. Like you said seeing rifles in cars or trucks parked at the school while not common also didn't raise any alarm either. Even though I didn't have any guns back then, I did carry a folding pocket knife throughout my childhood, (Still do).

    This may be the last Zvezda kit you ever build but it is clear you hit it out of the ballpark yet again with this one. Rozhestvensky himself would have no trouble recognizing her.

    Possibly a sanding lightly while laying on a piece of glass with a fine sandpaper or soaking in something mildly acidic like White Vinegar.

    Hi Jan I'm enjoying following your build. Like Denis says I am also always amazed at what you people can do with paper. It is beyond me. I thought I would comment on your statement about the main guns being small for a flagship. The De Ruyter was flagship strictly because she was newer and therefor more modern than the only other Dutch cruiser present in the East Indies the Java. They were both light cruisers with only six inch, (150mm) guns. At the time of her sinking at the battle of the Java Sea she was only six years old and one of the newest ships present other than the HMAS Perth who was about the same age and was also a light cruiser but had a better 6", (152mm) gun.

    Wouldn't dare try to tell you how to do your modeling Craig. That would be like the donkey telling the lion how to eat meat, but I have found that Windex can be used for stuff like that as well. At least for the acrylics I have been using.

    Yes you did................... But I will let you get away with it this time. Too easy of a target.😈 (The last time I caught someone doing that was Mark. I did have to email him and point out his wording though. It was too funny to let pass.)

    I'm already currently in over my head with my Huey, with at least three more kits in line after that before I even consider taking on something else. What do think I am, Denis? I am strictly a one-at-a-time kind of person.

    Nice work KP he looks like he has been dutifully guarding the patio, standing ready to do battle in the garden. Is he actually able to convert to aircraft mode or is he just a figure?

    That's where my build is right now as well. You expected something else out of Inslee????? I don't care who you are. That's funny!

    The Swiss pattern is certainly interesting in some ways. One style of camo on the forward fuselage another pattern on the upper wing and still a third on the tail with huge "Don't shoot at me I'm neutral" red and white in between. The Swiss air force didn't really fly at all between 1940 and 1943 and returned almost all interned German pilots and aircraft to Germany in those years. I think they did pretty much the same thing to the allies with pilots and crews through the Red Cross but kept the aircraft. Could be wrong, long time ago reading.
