Rained off again today, so airbrush started up and repainted camo on the hull, it got a bit green on the gun mount, but I can live with that I ended up mixing my own brown as fleabay has non in stock from any vendor and I refuse to pay £5+ at Amazon for a pot of paint I could get for just over £2 when the paint has dried it's on with the last bits and tracks. For the thumbs up and comments I thank you all😁👍 Cheers

I've been adding the small parts to the body and turret, but took no photos 🙄, while waiting for the glue to dry, I kind of started the half track I bought at the same time. When I get round to that model properly I will start a log🙂 Thanks for your likes and comments, there will be more. Cheers😁👍 P.S just a couple of teasers of the half track, floor is only dry fitted.

Life has a habit of making well laid plans useless, knowing I would be getting some bonus time in my 'play room' because of the weather, I had made a mental list of jobs to do on the Cutter, but it seemed the Admiral had other ideas for my enforced downtime 🤔😠😤. So very little to show except the skylight now has its glazing. Thanks to everyone for your comments, I appreciate the feedback. Also for the likes and taking the time to look in. 😉 Hopefully more to show next time. Cheers

You could be in for a long wait😔 Ken's right it does look a great piece of kit.... the lamp and the tank! -
Looking nice Eric, your foray into making mouldings is the pull of the dark side😄 As Tim has said a double plank model is a bit more forgiving . Keep up the good work.

Impressive looking model, Phil, it's come a long way from the cardboard you started with, great work!

So, spent a few hours this week wrestling with the leaner ladder, after three failed versions finally made one of sufficient quality to use. Instead of two pieces of 1mm wood glued together the stringers are 1 piece. I think it is more to scale than my other ladder. the photos above show the difference, granted it's not a lot, but I am happier with the slimmer version, also it's wider. As can be seen deck fittings are in the process of being painted, and the glazing in the skylight windows is done, just waiting for the glue to dry (photo next time. I'm waiting on an order from CMB of brass rod and wire, then I will be doing more to the top rail. Thanks for looking in and hitting the button. Cheers 😉

It's not the obscene priced bottle Jack 🤪 but the one for about £35 I would be loathe to open one costing over £400😬 And to correct myself, it's 10yr not 12, I've had it for over 2 years though, does that count?😁 I got it from the distillery on Skye when I had a holiday there.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
