  1. I did play some ACW skirmish scenarios with 15mm figures when I was younger. 15mm because you didn't need a large game table and also only needed 150 to 200 figures per side. The ACW also works well for skirmishing games. The same applied to the Revolutionary War. In respect to re-enactment like OC I would have liked to done ECW but on the parliamentary side as a pikeman. 😏
  2. Good choice, the Connaughts were first through the breach at Badajoz, but if you wanted to ride a horse maybe you could consider the Enniskillen Dragoons. I think with my Scottish heritage I'd be in the 92nd Gordon Highlanders as that is my surname 😉 I'd quite like the kilt😂🙄
  3. Thankyou gentlemen, this is my first ever plastic kit tank, as I only did planes and ships as a kid. Lou, with this I think it maybe the blind leading the blind, luckily we have Jack on hand and EG for his exceptional information
  4. Great progress Jack, the stern always causes me problems, but sandpaper usually sorts things out 😁
  5. So I finally gave in and entered the realm of 1:35 armour, this is an unknown path for me apart from the failed card Sherman earlier this year. What I do may not always be historically correct but I plan to enjoy what I do. So of the three kits I bought for less than £40 for all three I'm starting with the tank as I'm basing it in the europe theatre I'm basing everything in tamiya german grey more to come. Cheers 😉👍
  6. You may have to take the King's Shilling and enrol in one of the Highland regiments instead Ken😊. Capitan Dènis looks great OC
  7. For "Action Man" it's GI Joe over the pond. I think my younger brother had most of what they did for Action man, whereas I was the model mad one
  8. The cockpit looks good in the fuselage 😁. As to the gun bay, it looks good but do you think it would be worth the work to fit it, it's your build, whatever you decide is going to be excellent, judging from your previous aircraft Mike.
  9. Mmm a GT racer, some of best racing is tin tops, mainly because they tend to get closer than open wheelers. I'm in!!
  10. Thanks Glenn, I have been scouring the internet for pictures of windlass so I have some sort of idea of what to do. I'm also thinking of maybe mocking up a different companion hatch. It is nice to be able to have a break from planking Winnie, it seems never ending as she's so big.
  11. Beautiful looking motor Craig! I like it, good job.
  12. The bodywork looks real sharp! Great job so far Craig
  13. Have you tried twisting with a hair dryer after you've put the radial curve on it ? Just a thought.
  14. Good to see you back at the bench Jack, I tend to make sure anything I clamp wether for shaping or gluing gets left overnight. (Just to be sure one understands😉)
  15. A little bit more done, made hatch coamings and main hatch grating, the companion way and skylight are well on the way. I've also began to put the moulding along the bulwarks the photo below is a test as my new phone camera has a macro setting. Next time I'm going to have a crack at making either a windlass or a capstan, I'm leaning more towards a windlass. Thanks for the likes. Cheers 😄👍
  16. An absolutely stunning building, your designs are amazing! The whole village is just so lifelike. Excellent work 😁
  17. Nice work Denis, considering the problems you had at the start it has turned out great😉
  18. Congratulations on completing the planking, it's quite a milestone with this model. Good luck with the next steps of the build Matt👍
  19. Oooh that's a good idea😈 Seriously though Mike it'd look great!! Engine's turned out superb!
