Thanks Patrick, The jig is very handy. I wish I try it before but you know me….don't listen And how are you doing?
-
Thanks Guy's! A little bit more Andy…. There is one thing that I don't understand... When i see other builds ,the ropes are so nice smoothly and I have those "bumps?" But I still keep going on. Then I give my credits to EdT ( I hope he read this ) but I've got it from your log It works great and this one goes also in the great tips map! ( it's almost a book ) And thanks for the good word Thanks Popeye, I think it's very handy and you can do other things with your hand because they are free….. When you start the rigging at the Gothenborg I want to see that jig!
-
Thanks Eric…... One thing….you don't see Anja below it I'm standing on her hands!

Hi Adeline, Normally I don't use anything…. Not even a needle….. I glue the top of the wire a little and then it goes easily true the holes. But you have to try everything, so why not that thread thing

Hi Wayne, Those things ARE very small, I believe the size is…0,000000000001 mm and the other one are even smaller…... The long ones we can not find so I have to do it with those that we bought ( after a nice walk in the rain ) Hi Robbyn, When I read your answer ,I know that my walk in the rain was not for nothing Glad to help you with new ideas….. Maybe we cab write a book with helpful tools and jigs? And I don't mean the lathe and saw and that kind of stuff. But just those things. Augie, Old school is most of the time the best. But I think when you find the way to do it as you like, then you have to stay with that . But trying something new is also not so bad…... And because I'm still a young man I try everything Just ask Anja …... How is the visit going? Is you brother-in-law already working at his own build? .

I forget the picture with the Wilhelmina….. The other "thing" is even smaller then the Wilhelmina. So for the very tiny holes I have also a tool. Don't ask me how it called, I really don't know!
-
Thanks Danny, I'm almost done with those small ones and then you come up with a solution This one goes into the map with great tips! But you never know, maybe someone else have the same problem and see this. We got that tool that you shows us. Here it calls a Wilhelmina Never knew this…... Thanks.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
