  1. The paint job looks good, mate. Underwater vhull about the colour of pitch, which is probably what was used at the time. John
  2. Grag, This is the only time I've ever heard of kit for an Australian warship. Are there others, do you know? John
  3. She's really starting to look like a yacht now, mate! Nice job on the cabin roof. John
  4. Hello Chimera, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  5. Red 'not under command' lights (at least at the time of the 'Michelangelo') had to be visible all around the horizon - not just from ahead. The only navigation lights in the position of these lights on the mast would be white 'vessel under tow' lights. John
  6. I go away for a few weeks and you've half finished another model! It's just not safe to leave the house with you loose in the workshop, Popeye! John
  7. Just catching up after having been away for a while, Dan. She really is looking first class - especially those magnificent funnels. The only nit is those mast lights - definitely all white lights, as Druxey said. John
  8. The things that happen while you're away! She's looking really excellent, Pat! John
  9. Crikey, Piet! I go away for a few weeks and you've almost got your beautiful 'Java' completed. She sure looks first class. John
  10. Hello Phil, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  11. You've been making some nice progress while I've been away. John
  12. Looking good, Mario! You've sure made some progress while I've been away. Can't help with you're questions, I'm afraid, as American colonial era building is a bit out of my area. John
  13. Hello Greg, and a warm welcome to the forum from down in Sydney. John
  14. You've done an impressive amount on the 'Hood' while I've been away, Danny - she really looks the 'ant's pants'! And thanks for the reminder to get my 'flu jab now that I'm back home!! John
  15. Oops! I keep forgetting about modern child protection and the need to protect the little ones from what goes on around the internet! John
  16. Hello Kristoffer, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  17. Come on, Sam; everyone knows that seaweed is short and grows in little tufts on the bottom! You certainly have a great crew assisting you there. Any chance of a photo of them? John
  18. Hello Jobbie, and a warm welcome to the forum from down in Sydney. John
