  1. Thanks for the likes and comments. I'm not sure it was real victory, Grant. More like I out-stubborned it. Thanks Tom. Surgery is done and seems to be working well. The meds are kicking my butt but hopefully, I can get them changed a bit.
  2. I hope everyone is having a great Christmas. Quiet here with a layer of ice and snow. After fighting with PE.... and winning, I'm at this point. Horseshoes, fishplates, and rudder gudgeons all mounted.
  3. Use the search feature (upper right hand side of any page). I believe I have seen some builds with sails.
  4. And possibly a lack of hard data???
  5. Welcome to MSW, Greg.
  6. Dave, Do a search in this topic: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/16-masting-rigging-and-sails/ However, blocks, rigging, etc. is more a function of the size of the ship, era, number of masts, etc. After you know the full size then they can be scaled down.
  7. Not much I can say that the others have not said. Just a long silent "WOW, you are a master".
  8. Only "some". All the former Marines I know would object.????? If Monty Python is right, then only lumberjacks would approve of his comment. LOL
  9. Have a look at the last post in this topic. The Admins are trying to resolve the photo issue.
  10. Greg. I suspect that we all bow to you as the "Master of Weathering". Great work.
  11. The cans look great and so does your "other" diorama. Have a great holiday.
  12. That is one deep dive into the software which I don't envy anyone. When I did software, those were called "landmines".... Good luck.
  13. I hope there's a solution forthcomming from the software folks, James. I'm seeing comments about photos not uploading in the build logs also.
  14. Welcome to MSW, Dirkske. Feel free to start a build log when you're ready to begin. They're the best way to get help and also meet others.
  15. Welcome to MSW, Shane.
  16. Wow. A fantastic detail and very well done, Eberhard, I'm a bit surprised about using leather for the straps as I would have thoight cloth would worked better in the humid environment. I hope you have a fantastic holiday season.
  17. Load outs have always been seemingly a part of aircraft modeling. Depends on what your goal is with the model. I remember the early B58 and B52 kits providing a vast display of what the beasts could carry. The load outs weren't one the plane but on a base spread around them. Seeing photos today of what can be loaded out is impressive and actually, to me, overwhelming.
  18. Yes, big relief it wasn't a stroke. Just be careful yourself around her ear. That's not something you want to catch either.
  19. I know you'll take good care of her, OC. But also take care of yourself. I think (can't remember) shingles is contageious or can be.
  20. Welcome to MSW, Bob from the other end of the country. There are build logs here of that ship which should help you out. Also, do start a log to bring us up to date. The build log is a great way to meet other builders and also to get help.
