Hi Ben
Welcome back!! I’m glad to see the progress you’ve made. The interior, especially the oven, looks great.
Also, as someone who has been through numerous renovations/extensions in our house, I know how you must feel. It’s always satisfying once it’s over.
Have a great 2019.
Cheers.

Happy New Year, folks!
Thanks for all of your Likes and comments on Genesis’ progress.
A quick update. I’ve been working on Genesis’ bridge over the past few days. So far, I’ve managed to make the four chairs for the skipper and other crew members that man the bridge. Off to one side there’s another chair and chart table for the Navigator. Immediately opposite on the other side, there’s a small L-Shaped settee and a table.
Still lots of work to go.
Have fun!

Congratulations on doing those head rails, Phil.
They’re looking fantastic. I know, from past experience just how tricky they are to do, so well done.

always neat to see her all laid out like that quite a bit stuffed in there already! awesome project to be sure.........oh, and I always thought those vents should have been slanted.......they look much better that way
Thanks Denis!
I agree with you about the ‘vents’ (which are actually full height windows). It’s just another example of where the plans on the Internet differ from how the actual boat was built.
Have a great weekend!

Just manage to catch up, very nice Patrick, full of your usual good vibes! Lovely details, the sculpture, the lump, the computers, also I would not mind having some of these rugs at my place...
I wish you a wonderful, creative and healthy 2019!

Hi Vaddoc
Thanks and it’s great to hear from you. Yes, Genesis is surely pushing all my boundaries and comfort zone in terms of what’s possible; but hey, that’s what makes this hobby so much fun.
Have a wonderful 2019!
Cheers

Hi Keith
Many thanks for your comment above. Yep, I agree that she’s a design that takes some getting used to, but, therein lies the attraction for me, I guess.
As as a side note, looking back at the construction process so far, I can’t help but think why, oh why, did I go like a ‘bull in a China shop’ and do all the detail work, instead of the painting first? Now, I’ve got to start to think about how I’m going to sand and paint the hull and superstructure with all the detailed stuff in the way.
Oh well, such is life, I guess...
Cheers
Patrick
