Hi everyone! Thanks for all of your comments and Likes. Greatly appreciated! This week, I've been too flat out to work on Shadow, until tonight. The first thing that I managed to do was to build the initial framework of the cabin on the Upper Deck. A lot of guess work has gone into it because the photos and plans that I'm relying upon don't show that much detail. But, nonetheless, at least I've managed to nut it out...I think! Lots of work to go, though. Anyhow, I'm just glad that she's beginning to take shape. Have a great weekend, folks! Cheers Patrick

Wow, Denis. Syborn's really come a long way since your last update. I wouldn't worry too much about losing the wide open deck space. She's a working boat and a crowded deck just looks more in keeping with her intended purpose. Keep up the great work! Cheers Patrick

Hey Vaddoc Thankfully that pesky frame has turned up! It's amazing how these things can seemingly vanish into thin air...it's a constant pain for us modellers. Having said that, that's certainly a big boy that you're building! Cheers Patrick

As I've said in previous logs, there's something mesmerising and fascinating for me about building at these scales. So much so, that I just can't help but love creating these teeny tiny boats. Hi Carl - good question! To be honest, I'm not really too sure, either. Maybe, it's because I had cut the template out of cardboard anyway and, before I knew it, I'd started to use it to build the actual deck. No stress, though, because once it's planked with wood and saturated in liquid super-glue, it'd be super strong! In fact, it'd be just as strong as styrene, or, wood. Hi Nenad.
