  1. Hi Greg Many thanks. I really like your comment and, I have to agree with you about there being 'something' about the design. In fact, when I was initially scouring the Internet to find a suitable ship to model, for some reason, this ship just stood out with flashing lights and sirens. So, to say that there's something appealing about her design is an understatement, for sure. I just had to build her. Have a great weekend! Cheers Patrick
  2. Hi Igor I'm not entirely sure, but the scale is something like 1:200. To be honest, I've never put figures on any of my models before. Nice thought, though. Cheers Patrick
  3. Hi Igor Wouldn't it be great to crew this ship? I'd be the first in line, that's for sure. Cheers and all the best Patrick
  4. Many thanks! I reckon she's getting there, slowly. The TV's a nice touch, too. Afterall, what self-respecting billionaire would own a motor yacht without one? Thanks once again and all the best! Cheers Patrick
  5. Hi everyone Thanks for all of your comments and Likes! As is customary for some reason with this build, I've been jumping around a bit, in comparison to my normally systematic approach. Therefore, things may seem a bit jumbled. Nonetheless, I've started to fashion the Sun Deck's "wing", upon which the radar domes and antanaes will eventually reside. In the main deck, I've also started on the galley and the owner's stateroom. Everything's incomplete, though, so there's stll lots and lots of work to go, including the finishing and sanding, but here are the photos anyway. I hope you enjoy them Cheers and thanks Patrick
  6. Hi Leo Amazzzzzzingly nice work, especially for the size of the hulls you're working with. Nice. Cheers Patrick
  7. Hi Leo Just out of interest, how long are both hulls? Cheers Patrick
  8. Hi Matti Nice challenge you've picked there, but no doubt, it'll be a 'walk in the park' for you (judging by your other ship and non-ship models). Also, I have to add, that those French cutters are very attractive ships, especially given their large sail areas and shapely hulls. I'm gonna enjoy following you once you get going. All the best! Patrick
  9. Hi Denis It must be a good feeling to be able to work on your Syborn, even though you're still waiting for the planks. I gotta say, as well, that those stanchions and railings look great! Nicely done. Cheers Patrick
  10. Hi Leo Absolutely love your work! Tell me, what's the story with the second hull? Cheers Patrick
  11. Beautiful workmanship, Igor. Well done on pulling these stands together. I especially like the name plates. How'd you do the lettering? Cheers Patrick
  12. Hi Mark I like it. What a difference a coat of paint makes! Cheers Patrick
  13. Hi Keith Very nice and I can't wait to see her all rigged and ready for the maiden voyage. Cheers Patrick
  14. Hi Nils I don't look in for a day and look what happens! You've buggered up your neck!!!! I don't envy you. Please take care and listen to your Doctor's advice. Enjoy the massages... Also, wow, wow, wow...your ship is totally outstanding. Love it and I hope you're able to get back to her soon. Cheers and all the best Patrick
  15. Hi Piet Many thanks! One of my big sisters says that she can still remember the days when, instead of carrying me (as a baby) properly, she'd "accidentally" drop me on my head! Now, not only was that a very long time ago, judging by my age, but, I guess that explains why I have these tremors in my head! LOL Anyhow, have a great day. Cheers Patrick
  16. Hi Keith I'm with Mark, because, as my late Father always said, "we never stop learning until the day we die". In your case, even the most knowledgeable and skilled builder can never know everything. That's what makes MSW so great...namely the fact that we all learn from everyone. Besides, it looks like you're having way too much fun with your models. You need to share that fun with us! Cheers and bring on the build logs! Patrick
  17. Hi Mark - many thanks. I certainly enjoyed the day with family and friends. Thanks Steve for the birthday wishes. Hopefully, I'll have another update soon. Hi Greg. Many thanks for the birthday greetings. I hope all's well with you and your family. Hi George. Thanks for the birthday greetings and I hope you had a great day, too. Hi Elijah. Many thanks. I'm hoping to get an update posted soon. Thanks fir the birthday wishes! All the best, everyone and thanks! Cheers Patrick
  18. Hi Igor Four centimetres in length! Well, in actual fact, my Mystic motor yacht is 5 cms in length; a mere giant in comparison. I tell ya, it takes some serious skills to do what you're doing. Nicely done! Cheers Patrick
  19. Woohoo Igor Great to see you back. I still can't get over how tiny she is, not to mention how much detail you've put into her. Lovely stuff! Cheers Patrick
