  1. Hi Greg Many thanks! I can't promise about the bubbles, but I can always try.... With respect to the stern door, yep, you're right because it's designed to be lowered to water level, thereby enabling the jet skis and tender to be launched and recovered. Hope this helps. Cheers Patrick
  2. Hi Pete. Cheers and many thanks! Hi BDGiantman Thanks for your comments. Greatly appreciated! Hi Mark Thanks and I really appreciate your comments! Hi Elijah. Thanks for your comments and yep, I've designed each deck to be completely removable so that the interior can be viewed. I'd hate to have put all the work into the interior, without it being able to be enjoyed. Thanks once again. Cheers Patrick
  3. HI everyone Many thanks for your comments and Likes. Greatly appreciated. Here's my latest update: I've managed to paint the starboard engine and other associated details in the engine room. The jet skis and the ship's RIB tender have also received a second coat of paint with a new and better quality paint brush. The difference is much better than before, I must say. Also, at the stern of the ship, I've started on the port and starboard stairs which lead from the main deck down to the diving platform. Still lots of cleaning up to do, of course. Lastly, on the Sun Deck, I've put together the spa (which is the funny round thing) and a short series of steps for guests to use in order to climb from the deck into it. Lots and lots of details, as well as filling, puttying and sanding to go, but it's fun and satisfying work, none the less. All the best! Cheers Patrick
  4. Hi Nenad Yes! You most certainly can do a great job on the steering wheel, even though you may doubt your ability to do so. From what you've showed us, there's nothing that you haven't been able to do so far. I'm looking forward to your next update. Cheers Patrick
  5. Hi Walter Nice to hear back from you and that you're taking more care of your health. I know it sounds like a cliche, but health will always trump over our hobbies, so, take your time and make sure you're fit and well before getting back to your shipyard. All the best! Patrick
  6. Hi Leo Such fine details and, boy, she looks great! You must be pretty chuffed! Cheers Patrick
  7. Hi Nenad Fat fingers, or no fat fingers, Nenad, there's no denying that those pin-rails look great. Cheers Patrick
  8. Hi SteamSchooner Very, very nice work overall, especially with the railings and ladder. It's also good that your hair's still on your head! Cheers Patrick
  9. Hi Vaddoc Nice work, but, not having a glass case could be a problem once those cobwebs start to grow. More importantly, if this is only your second model, then you've already set the bar very high. Very impressive to say the least! All the best Patrick
  10. Hey Denis Nice job on the stairs...now, if I could just guess what the flat bit is for.... Cheers Patrick
  11. Hi Dave I'm just sitting here shaking my head in disbelief! I can't even imagine being able to replicate what you've done. You, Sir, are doing one hell of a fabulous job on those carvings. Cheers and all the best for the weekend. Patrick
  12. Hi Pete I don't know how you do it! But, no matter what, just keep doing it, because the finish on the hull is superb!! Congratulations are definitely in order, because she's looking beautiful. All the best Patrick
  13. Hi Vaddoc She looks so real, that it's hard to tell that it's a model. The rope work, coupled with the fixtures and fittings, just add so much character to the ship. You've got to be really chuffed! Will you be building a glass case as well? Cheers Patrick
  14. Thanks Frank. Ironically, I do have an Optivisor, but for some reason, I haven't used it lately. Come to think of it, it may come in handy the next time I open my wallet, afterall the cash is pretty hard to see...LOL! Cheers Patrick
  15. Hi Frank - I didn't use a magnifying lens for these jet skis, but I really wish I had! Hi Pete - Better bring your packed lunch, because the galley hasn't been built yet! Hi Steamschooner - Thanks!! Thanks Nigel - greatly appreciated! Hi Greg - yep, sometimes I am a bit fussy, but I'll sand the paint back and try again...should be looking better once done. Hi Piet - thanks for the tip on the brush. Guess what I'll be buying tomorrow??? Hi Michael - thanks. I'm not exactly sure that they'll do that..It'd be fun trying to find out, though! Thanks Igor!!! Thanks Mark!!!
  16. Hi Piet The carving looks seriously good! And....you said that you couldn't carve!!! I really gotta hand it to you. Piet, you're one talented master, for sure. Cheers Patrick
  17. Hi Denis I reckon we're all our own worst enemies. As far as I can see, those stained glass windows look bloody marvellous (with or without the light). Also, you definitely do have your work cut out for you, with all of those builds on the go. But, you're having fun, which is the most important thing. All the best! Patrick
  18. Hi George - many thanks, as always. Hi Denis - many thanks! You're right about the dizziness. Let's hope that the addition of the starboard side's engine will help her to move straight, now. Cheers Patrick
