Hi Mike "Dust, noise and space are always a limitations if you work in the living room.. But it is definitely possible...." Mike - I also believe that our "better halves" also impose limitations on the living rooms, as well (if you know what I mean) Cheers Patrick

Hi Keith I'm not sure how, or, why, but for some reason, the hull looks a lot like Jules Vernes' Nautilus submarine. I like it!!! The other thing I like is the fact that you're applying your imagination to such good effect. Throw out the rule book and just go where your heart and imagination takes you. Nice and refreshing, I say. Cheers and all the best. Patrick

Hi Denis Very Nice. I especially like the landing with the support struts, because it's details such as these which add so much life and interest to your ships. Cheers Patrick

Hi Denis I'm really looking forward to seeing the family shot, for sure. Having the four sisters in one place would be a treat, not only from the perspective of how they've progressed, but also, because it'd be a wonderful testament to how your innovative and creative thinking has developed over time. I also can't wait to see what your next project is **hint hint***. All the best Cheers Patrick

Hi Nenad If I'm right, that would be an Ole English Sheepdog and, what a wonderful breed it is. Nenad, you're going to have a wonderful and faithful companion when he/she arrives. Hopefully, when that time comes, you'll be able to post some puppy pics! Congrats and well done. Cheers Patrick- 4,152 replies

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
