  1. Hi Frank Excellent tutorial! I hope you're justly rewarded with a good liquid refreshment after doing the frames, because you deserve it. Talk about fiddly work! All the best and I'm looking forward to your next update. Cheers Patrick
  2. Thanks Frank! My ships are a fraction of the size of yours, so progress is always going to be quicker for me, though. Stay positive with the framing and I'm sure you're going to overcome the gremlins that've crept in. I look forward to your next update. Cheers and all the best! Patrick
  3. Hi Keith Nice to see the sails temporarily set up. With her raked masts and lofty sails, she looks fast just sitting there. Nice job. Cheers Patrick
  4. Very nice work, Hartmut. The skipper admiring your workmanship must be well pleased, as well
  5. Hi Frank Super progress so far. She's going to look great and like other's have said, why stop at building a cross-section? I'd be tempted to build the whole hull. Come to think of it, if you could just send me your scrap box of discarded frames........hehehe! Cheers Patrick
  6. Hi Nenad Great work on the buckets. I love 'em. What's even more, is the fact that your whole outlook to building Her Majesty is inspiring. Never give up. Just give it a go. Try, try and try again. Success will come. I love that attitude. Cheers Patrick
  7. Very nice work, Nenad. That's one tiny bucket, that's for sure! Cheers Patrick
  8. Hi Mark Thanks and I think your decision to change the keel would definitely enhance the overall design; not that it's current appearance is not good. But, you've got to do what you feel is right and makes you feel good. Al the best! Cheers Patrick
  9. Hi Denis Bob took the words right out of my mouth! It's the little details such as these that bring a model to life. "Rich in detail...Rich in life" Nice one! Cheers Patrick
  10. Hi Mark Looking great, especially the anti-fouling colour. The original half model looks interesting as well. It also looks like you were at some sort of function room/restaurant. I'm curious as to whether it had something to do with the half hull model being on display? Cheers and keep the updates flowing. Cheers Patrick
  11. Well...Dave. About your plan...What can I say. You're either very brave, or very foolish. Either way, never forget "Happy Wife Happy Life and you cross this adage at your own risk!
  12. Just unbelievable Igor. I love the chimney with the piping and its other associated details. The ships boats are mighty fine, as well. Love it all. Cheers Patrick
  13. Hi Nils That's fantastic to hear and whoever is lucky enough to purchase your Gorch Fock is going to be one lucky chappy! I understand about your reluctance to set up a business, but should you still go ahead, I'm sure you wouldn't be out of work. Good luck! Cheers Patrick
  14. Piet - my back's hurting as well! Take it easy. Remember, retirement is supposed to be fun and relaxing, isn't it. Cheers Patrick
  15. Hi Glenn-many thanks. That means heaps to me, especially when I look at your build and dream about being able to do what you're doing. Thanks Piet. I'll be the first one to hop on board your build, should you chose to do a miniature ship. Come to think of it, I have little doubt that you would absolutely ace it!!!! Cheers and all the best to you both. Patrick
  16. Hi Nils Your fingers may be itching to get back to the build, but your back says otherwise. I'm sure that your Admiral is telling you to rest as well. Take care and I hope that all goes well! Cheers Patrick
  17. Hi Lawrence Many thanks for the belated Birthday wishes. I had a great day and hopefully I'll continue to have many more to come. I'm glad that you're enjoying my build log of Majellan, because she's certainly lots of fun to build. All the best! Cheers Patrick
  18. Hi everyone I hope you're all well. Just a short, but quick update. I've started on the construction of the Bridge decks interior accommodation. In particular, although you can't see it clearly, is the Bridge Deck's control console. The steering wheel will be added later. There's also a drink's bar amidship, together with other assorted items, e.g. the round coffee table. All the best Patrick
  19. Hi Pete She's looking great....but, I shouldn'have expected anything else, of course! Cheers Patrick
  20. Hi Denis I can't add much more to what other's have said, except to say "bloody marvellous "!!!! Cheers Patrick
  21. Hi Keith Nice start on the intricate and decorative cabin structure. She looks like she's gonna have heaps of character and charm. Cheers Patrick
