  2. Right then folks "Take a seat and enjoy the show" here is the Dio - We start off with my dad chatting with his superior about a sticking Flap At the same time "Number Two" is making his way to the plane after giving the bases dog some attention, The jeep is from were the Two mossie pilots is still on the pan with the dog waving its tail. A spit is brought over as my dad had a quick look over her before working on the mossie. And at the same time one of my dads work friends walk carrying a gas can for the jeep. And here is the general over head scene - And I finish with the dio put on display in my unit with friends. Thank You all for all the convos - help and likes it has been a fun build made even better by some suprises. OC.

  5. Evening all, the issue I spoke about above has noe been rectified - I didn't have to cut down into them as the putty was hard so I just added a dab of CA and sat the aerials in the glue - seemed to do the job. OC.
  6. That false deck does look very well fitted - should make a huge difference keeping everything in lign - looking good. OC.
  7. Something occured to me - I went to all that bother to clean up Two gaps on the top behind the cockpit, only to find out they were intentional for the Two blade aerials to slot into, "oh well" I will have to see if I can gently make the openings - opened back up again. OC.
  8. A wee bit more progress this eve, firstly I masked up the front cockpit galzing unit, then I glued it in place - at the same time I fitted the two duct cover/scoops ontop of the fuselage. OC.
  9. Thank you kindly, she is safely displayed "Pride - of Place" in my unit. OC.
  10. Just a bit of tools logic - do you know what makes a great ca applicator - a piece of fuse wire, you drop a small pool of ca into a tub/vessel then just dab the end of the fuse wire into it just enough to pick up a small amount then apply this where you want, just repeate as needed, its what I do for all things that need controled application. OC.
  11. Well done bro - seriously you have been through it with this - you deserve some good look and it arrived. OC.
  12. Evening all, A bit more work on this today, first I fitted (tried to fit about Fifty times) the outer wing fence - they are wafer thin pe pieces almost to tiny to pick up, but I managed in the end by placing them and not breathing till I could put a bit of ca glue along both edges, after doing that and exhailing I turned my attention to the stabilizers, these have plates that glue to the edge and these are then glued in place on the airframe. OC.
  13. I am debating doing here as the famous "Sharky" ward one where he took on Four Mirage in one outing at the Falklands. Possibly this one (internet pic) OC.
  14. Tell him to pack it in or you will confiscate his ration of pop corn, and tell him to stand in the naughty corner. OC.
  15. Evening all, I got a bit more work done on this today - firstly after studying my pics and looking at my Shar I thought there was a bad molding fault with it, near the left hand wing root there is a curved hole - I am not aware of this on the real aircraft, but after checking the instructions I found a curved part that pops into that hole, I think it might have been the auxiliary refueling probe that some harrier could/would use. This was soon rectified and I moved on to an area that was bugging me - on the top near the rear cockpit area that patch I had fitted (I didn't like it) so I sanded if off and worked the area till it was smooth. Next was to work on the flaps and ailerons, these are seperate items seperated by the venting tube, the outer ailerons I glued in the trimed position, but the flaps I partialy drooped. OC.
  16. Thank you kindly Denis, its not set down like that on the Dio - more to come. OC.
