  1. Thanks for all that - much appreciated - when I get to the docs tomorrow and get a replacement meter and strips, I will tell the admiral to check herself in the mornings (if she gets this one to work as it should and not eat through a million strips) OC.
  2. The admirals was 19.1 last night when the ambulance checked her, and 18 today when the Fast responder checked her, but we are not sure what her normal range might be. OC.
  3. The two the wife has are called TRUE You, they are basicaly the same as the one you shown. OC.
  4. Thank you denis, yes she has two of those machines (look like a large cycle computer) they have those sharp pins that like you say prick the finger then you are supposed to put a small speck of blood on the end of a plastic strip - that is inserted into the machine, but however we have tried over the last 12months we cant get them to be accurate, so I have to get - yet another one from the doctors surgery tomorrow. So needs an easier machine thats less finnicky. OC.
  5. A huge warm thanks for the replies about the admiral - it was her Diabetes causing all sorts of problems from sickness/diarrhea/dissyness, she was still rough today so I called a Fast Respnder out who stayed with us at home for over an hour, she was checked thoroughly but was decided it wasn't serious enough to go back to hospital - instead our local doctors surgery was contacted by the Fast Responder requesting a Doctor to come out and review the admirals diabetic situation - not long had a call from the surgery, no doctor could be found to do the home visit and I have to go there in person tomorrow to pick up a new diabetic test machine, and to ask then about her diabetes as she is not strong enough to visit the surgery yet. Appologies if that didn't make sense I've not been to sleep yet since Tuesday Night.😵 OC.
  6. Looking splendid - not normaly up but thought I should comment on you build. OC.
  7. Was planning to attack the gun ports/ropes today but instead I spent some time in A/E at the hospital with the wife, as she had a bad spell with her health and I had to call 999, they sent out a First Responder who checked her over and rang for an ambulance, we were taken on the hour ride in an ambulance to hospital and arrived home after getting a taxi after 11pm. So slightly different day/evening. OC.
  8. Evening all, more progress today inbetween playing with the dog, I found the right thickness of thread - then started to attach the handrail ropes, these runs were tied off at both ends with loops and pva inbetween, when all were done I applied some paint to blend them in. I think they turned out ok - even the odd ones. Just a couple of pics. OC.
  9. Evening all, I havn't been on the last couple of days internet issue - anyway next stage with captain sparrows old ship led me into the area of the rope support rods that stick out of the bulkhead protrusions, firstly I had to carefuly drill a hole through the center of each protrusion/post, this went well with poop deck but when I did the same to the forecastle - "upsee - daisy" a broke a few posts but always onwards - so I just fitted some pins in anyway - they now just need paint and ropes. Just a few pics - OC.
  10. Thank you so much for your encouragement, it is an Excellent kit - very good detail and quality OC.
  11. She is looking super - I feel your pan regarding the breech ropes and thier attachment to the bulkhead walls. OC.
  12. Evening all - so I finished making all ten canons then just placed them on the deck - not painted/weathered or roped yet. Just a couple of pics. OC.
  13. Yep there are rope diagrams in the instructions - but I guess its like hull planking where it takes experience till you do it the right way. OC.
  14. Yeah the admiral and I have set a £5 rule each on prezzies for us both - thats 5 presents each. lol. OC.
