  1. I used small deadeyes and drilled the middle out to create the bull eyes, as for gils message, most likely his inbox is full
  2. Right then - my turn to throw the cat amongst the pigeons you are at sea, When is the anchor rope removed from the hawse, how difficult a job was it and have you modelled the bungs to replace the rope I am asking the question after seeing this print by Geoff Hunt
  3. Thankyou so much harvey, i tried to talk to the guy where he got the image from, wasnt very helpful, must have thought i was copyright
  4. I found the print on facebook I one of the groups im in, I am looking to see where the original came from
  5. I so much look forward to your updates, did I just read that you are not going to put sails on her now

  7. Mobsie good morning uuuumm never thought of plugs - Dafi - where are you?
  8. lol wanted to compare the two oooops one of us is wrong on the bow gunports being in different positions (bet it is me)
  9. lovely work, lol you were on the windows last time I looked, just where is my time going to, I had to giggle when you were talking about the rudder pins and needing a bigger scale next time, and the same discussion would be brought up on some detail that we hadnt even thought of
  10. Good evening everyone, Well I found out where I went wrong, the martingales throught the Dolphin striker were incorrect, well one line was and I had one line to many the Fore Top gallant Stay, Flying Jib stay, Fore Topgallant Mast Stay and Jib stay still need to be secured presently I have moved onto the Main mast, completed the Jeer lashings and started the upper shrouds
  11. Yes grant, i do but i am having a slight issue for the routing of the stays to the pins, and knowing the names of the stays in the first place, i have found that i have three block places taken on the knightheads port and stbd, and those dont tie in with the longridge book.I will possibly have to redo some if what i have completed is wrong, but for now i have moved aft to do some more shrouds
  12. Harvey i seamed not to have been to your build for quite some time, lovely work, I guess we are about the same stage, at present I am putting in the shrouds to the mizzen mast, Been in build for 4 years now and so want to finish her this year, making the 37 sails will perhaps be my next big project I promise not to stay away for so long
  13. Harvey, I have given up with the plans, and my other two reference books differ, although the principles are the same, as the names of the stays differ slightly
  14. Good morning everyone standing riggng continues, I put the Bumpkins in and secured them into place with a bracket, I have managed to get quite confused where some of the lines get secured, like the Jib out haulers, and the 4 main stays, so that is work in progress, now i am going to move aft and start the main mast upper shrouds
  15. Rich I found when putting the deadeye strops in that I got a better and more secure result by drill a small hole in the side of the slot in the channel , I even put a drop of C/A on it, had no rips outs, but I did ensure that the chain plates would line up, I also pinned the channels into the hull
  16. Very nice indeed, don't forget the bow gun-port openings
  17. when you run out of 1.3mm black thread, please remember the couple of metres on the rigging tool
  18. I wish I had a fraction of your skills, those carvings look great
  19. I am so following this log, and other Confederacy builds since I decided it would be my next build, If chuck allows me
