That's the 1/48 Tamy kit very nice fit OC and the SeaFire is an old HobbyCraft kit. Denis that's a 1/72 Italeri some people quibble about there kits but I find them to build up into Nice kits as to the Thermoplyae I hope I can get to that one one day. Thanks that's not all out of the cabinet got a couple of Armour and ships also just on the bottom shelf the top shelf gets the most dust. It's not to bad Mark once a year it happens the whole office side is getting cleaned. -

I did not really see a place to put this and since I am in a lull hannants just gave me a tracking # today and I needed to get room made for the "MMR" in the big cabinet which needed some serious dusting.I have to dust it about once a tear which took me two hours so all the planes have to come out.I thought some of you guys might be interested in seeing some of my early work's like the 1/32 Fiesler Storch,Ki-43 Oscar a 1/72 Heinkel,Ki-61 these are all probably 30years old anyways ............. -

Tom most modelers glue the fuse shut clean up the seams then spray. This were mask for the canopy and other glass comes in handy everything gets hit at once. You can paint the tips of the props yellow I do it this way about 50% of the time just several light coats will be needed. Kevin -

Jack once I get the two cabinets built which will be 48"L X 32"H X 22"D I should be good for quite a few years I just have so many little projects going on on the other side of the shop momma likes to keep me busy.I will in fact be finishing up a chair for the front porch today. Some pics of the wood work side. -
I use the Alclad Gloss Black Lacquer one for black basing and for it's adhesion but I am trying to understand exactly the gassing terminology it has a strong odor upon being laid down. OK I think I have it had to read it a few times so once the paint has been laid you should not be able to smell the paint on the model?

This the best picks of the stash for now the cabinet I built about 12yrs ago it's 8'LX8'HX 22"D the storage is 30"H on the bottom with another 12" above and it's not enough hence I have not been buying.I gave away to fellow builder in Mexico a retired Colonel about 6 kits I thought I never get to he did a knock out job on a couple that's how I am making room. The last pic is about 60-70 1/72 builds on the wall and those cabinets are probably 20+ years old when a hurricane comes they come down of the walls heavy heavy. Kevin -

I have more kits in my stash than the HobbyTown in Mobile has on there shelf(aircraft) anymore its a shame but the LHS have shifted to RC it's were the money is.I use to buy kits whenever I go on vacation whatever town to support the Brick and Mortar stores. They use to have a shop in Pensacola like maybe 10k/15k square feet run by an old retired Navy fella I would go on to visit it a few times Nice! About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
