Nirvana got a reaction from Canute in Warped frames
Question, was the patterns left on each frame while being stored?
That could be one of the reasons they have warped by moisture.

Nirvana reacted to Peter Bloemendaal in US Brig Syren by Peter Bloemendaal - FINISHED - Model Shipways - 1:64
I added the stuns'l booms to the yards and pinned the Topsail and Lower yards onto the masts.
They are just dry fitted and the yards assemblies are not completed yet. I have decided to keep them natural and not paint them black.
Some photo's......

It's a fun project being involved in, have learned a lot about Fusion360 and computer modelling.
What should had been a small and time wise short project turned out to be so much more.

Nirvana reacted to ETNZ in Sir Winston Churchill by Messis - FINISHED - Woody Joe - 1/75
A beautiful build. It has encouraged me to look at this model next. I sailed on her sisters ship the Malcolm Miller. I do not recall the basket on the foremast though. Two most stunning moments of the cruise were my first time aloft was about 2am one morning in reasonably strong winds to bring in canvas. The second was being out on the bowsprit bringing down the jib. The bow plunged down and the water shot up my oilskin trousers, came out above the bib and was then forced down my arms and out of the neck. It made me look like a human fountain! Thank you for bringing back the memories. The only difference between the two that I am aware of are the tops of the doors on the Miller are square and she apparently slipped in dry dock at some stage and the Miller is slightly banana shaped. It is said this makes her slightly faster. Those who have sailed on the Churchill will say otherwise however.

It's been a while since I last posted to this log. Life got in the way a bit, but I've still managed to do some more work on the "House". These pics are of the staircases and windows on the seaboard side :
Next step was to make the smallest of the three buildings. Here are some of the parts needed :
Some assembly pics. The instructions are a bit sparse in some areas, a fair bit of guesswork was involved but it all came together in the end :
The building fitted to the base. I'll straighten out the wrinkles at a later stage :

Nirvana got a reaction from popeye the sailor in Cannon Jolle 1801 by ccoyle - FINISHED - Master Korabel - 1/72 scale - Swedish gunboat
Chris, I like this model. You are doing a great job!
If my list of ships to be built first weren't to long I would add this to it.

Nirvana reacted to JSGerson in USS Constitution by JSGerson - Model Shipways Kit No. MS2040
Finally, the surface was painted bulwark green. The paint acted as glue for the plastic rivet and a secondary adhesive for the brass. The results are fairly close, but the brass gave a consistent diameter and height above surface. I am going to start with the brass punch method although I may also use the plastic rivets if the need arises. There is no way I could do this directly on the model. How Mr. Hunt accomplished that feat, is beyond me. In the images below, the left side of the plank are the plastic rivets and the right the brass. I tried showing the height above surface in the second image. Sorry for the poor lighting, but to get these closeups, the camera lens was practically touching the wood blocking my light source. So now I will have to start making over 3,000 pieces of this brass pixy dust. Unfortunately, I still think the results still show the bolt head too high off the surface for both methods, but it’s the best I can do. And to answer your question, yes, I’m out of my frigin’ mind!!

Nirvana reacted to Old Collingwood in Cannon Jolle 1801 by ccoyle - FINISHED - Master Korabel - 1/72 scale - Swedish gunboat
Hi chris, I dont know the ship very well but I would suggest to rig the canon first and put the ladders in after - just seems a logical way to do it that way.
OC.

Hullo, yes, it's been a while. I was waiting until I had some discernible progress to show. The caprails, knees, and rubbing strakes have been added. Next up is supposed to be installation of the gun, oh boy!
