Wow Sjors!...  m1433.gif

Very nice indeed...

There are 5 and 6 shrouds on the fore and main top masts... On my build I have just one pair of 5 only on the main mast lower...

You are so able, so speedy, so patient... And furthermore there aren't any missed ratlines even in daylight?!...  m0192.gif

Thanks everyone !

@ Augie,

You don't want to see me standing now if I want to take a picture.

The only problem is….it's beige rope and that against a white wall isn't work that good.

So I have to see if we have a dark colour sheet to put behind it.

@ Grant,

Arrive yesterday at home and all ready on MSW ?

It looks like a addiction  :D  :D  :D

And no worries about the San Ildefonso.

I almost like it that tying knots for the ratlines.

And you know what they say….experience make it easy…...

@ Wayne,

Thank you for those few words  :D  :D

@ Adriaan,

The same counts for you !

@ Robbyn,

Yes, progress is great.

You see her growing….and not only figural !  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

I have to stand up when I work at the top…. :P

@ Ferit,

Thanks for the check up if I forget a few ratlines  :P

I know that I have different number of shrouds.

But that is what the drawing is telling me….

And I have to follow that.

@ Mick,

I'm still not done with the ratlines.

I have to go one level up.

And then of course the shrouds and ratlines on the bowsprit.

And yes, there are a few miles of running rigging to do.

But when I finish those ratlines on the masts, I go to make the spars first.

And then…..running rigging.

Nice progress Sjors! Your are now a master ratliner it seems...

Did I read well and see a "there is still one more level to go" or something ?  :o But will she not pierce the ceiling then?!  :D

@ Mick,

@ Sam,

Thanks.

@ John,

What else can I do with all the time that I have at the moment.

I'm working only 4 hours a day ( last week and then to the 75 % ,6 hours ) for two weeks .

And going into the city because there is a festival ? no thanks…to many people !!!!!

We have a spare bedroom that we are using.

Still a lot of space left.

Maybe next year we will renovated the whole room into a decent workshop.

Now we have to tables where we are working on.

@ Adeline,

I'm still not a master of the ratlines….

I have to learn not to tight them to hard….

It can be some looser ( those ropes )

And yes , you read it well, at the main mast and mizzen mast there is another part with ratlines…..

And no worries about the hight of the seiling.

The room is almost 3 meters high...

Plenty of space left !

Ah, very good Sjors, now I get the picture.  Just as you did, I got to meet another of our members today.  We met Dave (lambsk) and his Admiral Fran for lunch in Charleston, South Carolina today.  Amazing how the forum can bring people together whose paths probably would have no reason to cross otherwise.  Absolutely amazing.  Thanks for the pictures

Hello Sjors,

I am now in St. Augustine, Florida. Should be here until Friday. If you will build a bridge from here to The Netherlands, I will be there shortly.....With your building skills you should have it finished in a week or two, then I can come see you. While you are at it go ahead and make the bride to the UK and I can see Mobbsie too.

that is a cool picture......on the floor!  good thing you don't have any cats!  ;)   there is a tricky part you still haven't done yet......the rest of the fore stays,  main stays,  and mizzen stays.   I notice that the pulley assemblies are beginning to make them sag a bit....don't worry too much about that.   keep the rest of the stays as limp as they are,  and when you do the back stays,  they will tighten them up.   do your plans show these stays?
