Thanks Sam, much appreciated.

Especially the Inca drill ritual was rather extreme so it seems ... missed the blood letting though ;) Stay busy ... look who's talking too!

Thanks for the thumbs up. It's quite a fun build, but slow thanks to bosses and customers ... ah well nothing new for you there.

So I drilled 110 stanchion holes with a 0.3mm drill ... by hand ...

Since work is taking over a lot of the after work hours too, you'll must indulge my infrequent updates ...

Thanks for the likes and the visit gents

I finished, OC ... some damage on the sides where me drill slipped ... got a box less (10pcs) of those drills ... I'll need stocking up for the German WWI sucker ... before I get to that one ... somewhere in the (hopefully) near future ...

Ships in bottles ... now I leave that to Igor, he really is a master when it comes to those minute boats, and ships.

Well done mate, it is pure agony doing those holes, and the continuous snapping of drill bits

Thanks, it's not so much the agony as it is the constant pressure not to break a bit, or have it slip and scratch the paint, like a scraper ... the next part is agony, cutting the stanchions ... I use the metal ones from Peter Hall /Atlantic Models

I love the Tamiya steel as it just falls off when bent. Luckily the Seydlitz only has 2 rails

Haven't found any steel Tamiya ones ...

What's the distance between stanchions on the Seydlitz ... length of the ship ... number of drills to buy ... oh golly we're going to have a drill of a time ...

It's been a while ... not much time for modelling, a lot of time wasted on work ... but ... this evening I fitted and fixated the for'ard superstructure. Guns are still loose - bit like me ... loose canon ;) - net step will be the rigging of the funnel, after that put on the rear funnel and rigging it ... she'll be decorated for X-mas ;) All the stanchions are mounted, so when the furniture has been rearanged on the deck, I can pull the wires for the railing ... getting somewhere ...

darn, nearly forgot the picsies

AAH....... The most important detail!

Good to see you get a little time from those four letter days, (work) to get some details done on the destroyer Carl. Looking forward to seeing some more progress. Hopefully you are able to get more than just the holidays before returning to the daily grind overwhelms everything again.

Thank you, Jim, and welcome to a slow moving build, this is the second one of these tribal class destroyers I am building, so painting should go a little better ;) . Still need to do some weathering, but not as severely as the G-class I did before ... bit of an overkill that one. I have got another hull waiting (Eskimo according to Trumper), but haven't decided yet which class I'll make from her.

Cheers

Thanks Denis, I like the colour scheme too, should have done it on  Vendetta as you did. The demon ... hmmm, yes, there are still quite a few  of us struggling with that one ... I don't dream of it, it gives me nightmares ;) , although, only when I consider it which is rarely :)  From what I saw,  you do not really have the time to dream ... to many interesting builds ... hard to keep up with you mate
