Battle of Waterloo Attack on La Haye Sainte Farm by Old Collingwood - 1/56 (28mm)

Recommended Posts

Alan has what to me to me is a good alternative if you can't get hep from opticion.  But take what Jack said and give them call.  They might even be able to refer you to someone who can help

I have a set of magnifier glasses from the optician I use and they work very well for what we do.

Thats very sad news for those of us that have watched the progress of thi fantastic work. The vignettes you have shown so far have been spectacular and it seems such a shame to lose it Is there a way to space out the figures already completed to populate the diorama and still tell the story?

I'm now having to use 5X magnifiers for models which give a limited depth of field but work reasonably well and are cheap.

Very best of luck. This has been a firm favourite to watch.

Alan

I am  in Two minds  over this  Alan,   I think  as  there  is  no rush  -  perhaps  best to wait till  my new glasses  arrive  and  play around  to see  how I go  -  I could  return to it  by doing  the  scenery  that  needs creating  out of those  sytrene  pieces  I  ordered  some  time  back,  it will  be less  eye  strain  related  than my figures.

I have my  optovisor  with  drop in different strength  lenses  that  I have always  used  with  my   wrong  strength  (none)  prescription  glasses  that  where  too  weak,  my new  prescription  ones  I have been tested  for  jump up  from 3.5  to  nealy 7 times  magnification, so  lots more  magnification  there.

That's great news, OC.   I'll keep fingers crossed for you.
