Moving slowly forward guys I figured that the small hand tools easily removed and hidden would probably be natural color otherwise it got paint.I had the tracks at the front grey but figured no way that would happen so I gave them a wash.My Son leaves Japan tomorrow will be here come Wednesday first time home in four years rule/quarantine(s) for CV-19 made that impossible last year.He will be staying till 1/20/22 then reports to Hollerman AFB in New Mexico on 1/29/22 :D

I hope you, your family, and son have a great time together.   As for the tank.. I'm not sure the Germans painted their tools.  The paint would wear off the metal pretty quick in use, but wooden parts I think where just oiled or varnished.

They generally didn't, except in winter with the slapped on whitewash in the field....

I really like them EG if you want a build that's a little longer than a sprint and more a marathon it's what you want lots of little bits.I only used about 1/2 of the PE provided seeing that some pieces to me were just not that important.I will say this I liked them so much and I am an a/c fella I have already started on the Tiger 1 early production.I just wish I would of had a little more foresight on the  weathering was almost about not to publish the final results for that matter embarrassed in a small way.Live/learn;)

There's a learning curve even to armor.   Do not be ashamed nor afraid.   The tank came out great.

Thank you, I have a couple of their kits, most prominent being the M-1 Abrams... (of which I proposed a group build, if I ever get the time) thank you for the review....

One thing about tanks and tank models, a condition of NO weathering is just as valid as the pile of wrecked junk on the battlefield, it was a true state for every single one ever built...

Javlin, this interior looks very carefully and nicely assembled and finished. About the weathering, beside what Egilman said, i.e. any state must have occurred in the life of a vehicle, including the state when it was new, if you want to apply oil colors or pre-prepared washes, do not forget to gloss the surfaces first with a gloss paint which must be based on a different solvent than the wash. But probably you already know that.

Greetings,

Dan.

Nice interior 👍.

Nice work as always.

But

At first sight, this type of grenade is for the 8.8cm Pak 43 from the Jagdpanter and the Jagdpanzer Ferdinand.

Not for the KwK 36 L/56 of a Tiger I.

To be sure of this  I have to start dig in my books

The Panzergranate 39 was a specific design of AP Shell, It was made in many various calibre's including both 75 & 88 mm....

For example, the 7.5 cm Pak 40 L/46 antitank gun and the 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/48 tank gun fired the same projectile, even though they had completely different cartridge cases.

It was also the most common AP shell used in the German armies during WWII....

In the Pzgr. 39/43 of KwK and Pak 43 guns, the driving bands were made wider than those of Pzgr. 39-1 due to the longer barrels causing higher chamber pressures causing the narrow driving bands to fail...
