Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light....

(it's hard to shoot a film in a dark, and I do not know how to add video not on youtube here :-()

in my blog http://hms-vanguard.blogspot.com/2015/02/blog-post_8.html

Have this kit sitting on my shelf on my list of "to do's" and your amazing work has inspired me to do the kit bashing that I had planned.. Incredible effort on your part. Keep us updated with pics and postings!

Alexey, this is arguably the best Vanguard build on MSW - such great attention to detail and meticulous workmanship. Of course I am a bit biased as I also like to use different woods instead of paint on my models - sometimes a very difficult task but well worth the effort. I really enjoy your work, very inspirational.

Alexey, glad to see you modeling again, hope I didn't miss too much.  Your old log here on MSW 1.0 was one of the first that I saw and was a big inspiration for me taking up the hobby.  Really looking forward to seeing more progress.  One question if I may, did you just use clear finish on the boxwood or any kind of stain?

Cheers,

Jason

wow what can I say Alexey

I have never seen a build with so much detail on it.

truly a fantastic build that makes me feel like giving up on my future build which I haven't yet started.

still, keep it going I'm watching you:) :)

So let me continue...

Need to put some eyelets for gun tackles.

Make small jig:

Put into the port:

Use needle to pin:

Drill and insert eyelets:

Do the same manner for deck's eyelets:
