  1. An intimidating band of French Infantry there. That dio will be quite busy.
  2. I think the newer plastic ships in 1/700 are way more finely done than early kits. Mold making technology is so much better, especially what they call slide molds. They allow for finer dimensions, like superstructures and gun barrels.
  3. Mobbsie, welcome back to the MSW crew.
  4. Working in those smaller scales, one needs frequent breaks. The breath holding and going cross-eyed working via tweezers with tiny parts. But the final outcome is well worth the efforts.
  5. OC, nice to read that. This will be a nice visualization of one corner of this sprawling battle.
  6. OC, do they include a drummer boy? Just about everything I've read about French attacks, they beat out the "Pas de Charge" for the assaulting units. Don't know if you get that deep into units. Drummers may have been kept further back, outside the range of your dio..
  7. I know there are new owners there at Freetime. They may not be well versed with shipping international.
  8. Looking good, Chris. Really like the blue color. Enjoy your build.
  9. Good looking piece of kit, mate. La Haye Sainte will look great in that case.
  10. Yes sir, a good day to enjoy the sunshine here in the Southeast.
  11. Yes, USN didn't appreciate the Corsair and dumped it on the USMC. The higher landing speed needed experienced flyers coming aboard USS Boat.
  12. That camo website only helps for WW II. Post war will need good photos for anything else.
  13. Here is a website about camo schemes on these subs in US service. https://shipcamouflage.com/submarines.htm Subs were painted in Measure 9, a black over upper surfaces and Measure 10, which were gray uppers.
  14. Aren't they the French light infantry? Huge plumes on their shakos.
  15. here's a build of Langley as CV-1: http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery/cv/cv-01/Langley-350-kk/index.htm he does some very nice work.
  16. Coming along nicely Denis. Hope you're feeling better, too.
  17. It does have an odor. Sort of like Bondo Spot Putty, the red stuff. I tried some Vallejo acrylic putty lately, which works well except it doesn't bond to some polystyrene plastics. Guess nobody was QCing the parts that day.
  18. Andy, what filler did you use on the roof joins. Looks good. Hard to think those queen post castings would ever match up.
