  1. That is a bummer. Like Edward says, maybe a little heat?
  2. Nice paint job. And markings for The Silver Fox. Very nice.
  3. Delicate work, EG. Proceed slowly and it should be well.
  4. Nice rationalization there, Chris. I use that on a frequent basis.
  5. Very nicely done, Jack. Keep them coming.
  6. Yes, our fingertips are a pretty good tool to feel the smoothness of the work.
  7. Kevin, looks like a good idea. I built a wood grain mill kit for a garden layout (1/24 scale or some such) with a water wheel. 👍
  8. Good work on the cockpit. Having spent a few hours in jet fighter cockpits, you could scuff up the rudder pedals and such there on the floor with some drybrushing of silver/steel colors. The cockpits get beat up fairly quickly from the pilots and maintenance people walking in parts of the "office". But over looks very good. 👍
  9. There are some small scale sailing ships made for the gamers, maybe 1/300 scale. Can't quote a brand however. In steel ships there a several brands.
  10. Nice present, OC. Savor every sip, brother. As to the farm, the back side looks like it could be a photo backdrop, if you keep it as square as your picture. You may want to run the front at a shallow angle to draw interest to one corner or the other, but you then need to build up one of the back buildings as a flat of maybe an inch deep on the end closest to the viewer. I hope that makes sense, mate.
  11. As many wise men and ladies have said, the only dumb question is the one unasked. A build log is the best place to ask questions as you build. Read the FAQs about setting up your log and work away.
  12. Don't think I've ever had a fresh fruit cake. Usually some store bought brick. Or a re-gifted one. 😝 I've been known to muck down warm Irish soda bread, with currents and those seeds, slathered in butter.
  13. Coming along nicely, Patrick. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Stay safe.
  14. C'mon, OC. We're getting into the Christmas cheer a little early is all. Some laced egg nog or some mulled spice wine for you. Virtual party, eh?
  15. Toss a chunk over here, bud. Anyone for ginger snaps?
  16. Hollywood cranked out a Bogart film during the war titled "Action in the North Atlantic". It was a Murmansk bound convoy. My Father said the Army showed it to them just before the sailed to England in 1943.
  17. Will this be that PRU Blue scheme? Will look cool. I'm in.
  18. EG, thanks for the pictures. I have some HO scale ALF close cab pumpers for car loads. They're resin kits. See the picture. Truck is maybe 2 inches long.
